Hello! I am Hernán, a costarican nature lover, passionate about music, photography, birds and friends. I have done many different jobs always related with tourism, as a certified water lifeguard, as a guide in an adventure park, an entertainer in water parks and hotels, a DJ at private parties and restaurants, Head of Entertainment, tropical dance instructor, children's entertainer and many more.

I was working with the largest tourism company in the country and I found a way to study and work, so I got my bilingual general tour guide license in 2018 and became part of my area's certified guides. I started working as a freelance guide in 2021.

The desire to show my country prompted me to give my best and create customized tours for my friends and clients in general. I love visiting the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park and observe its volcanic activity, the transition forest, the flora and fauna of the forest, visit Tenorio Volcano National Park and enjoy the spectacular blue waterfall that falls 30 meters where the Maleku natives perform sacred rituals in the past; walking among the clouds on the suspension bridges and observe the majestic Arenal Volcano.

I live in the city of Liberia, province of Guanacaste, where you can enjoy delicious meals, enjoy typical and cultural activities, and walk through the city discovering its history, as told by its streets. This is just 15 minutes from the Daniel Oduber International Airport or also called the Guanacaste Airport, and just 30 minutes from the Papagayo Touristic Pole where the largest and most prestigious hotels in the country are located. Plants, flowers, trees, insects as well as people are all part of this great garden called Costa Rica.

On this tour, I'll take your through a transition forest located 15 km northwest from Liberia city, to the little town of Curubande which hides a wonderful waterfall called La Leona, by Rio Blanco.

We'll walk and swim amidst magical blue water natural pools, going river up in a moderated hike, enjoying a place mostly only locals are even aware of. Going across the forest we might spot monkeys, birds , insects and big rock walls along the river, unveiling spots just a local tour guide could show you.

I was working in a local eco farm beside the river an know the best way to have fun around it! Besides taking you to the waterfall, we'll visit *The White City* (Liberia) and enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.

Once we've reload energy, I'll take you around the city to visit the most important buildings and historically relevant places.

La Leona Waterfall & Liberia City Tour - Hiking, Swimming & History in Costa Rica

Let's visit the rainforest that's by the little town of Bijagua de Upala, which is located at the north between the province of Guanacaste and Alajuela. We're going to walk in a private property, preserved for the wildlife on the edge of Miravalles Volcano, with a rich inviting ecosystem.

We'll come across sloths, monkeys, frogs, birds and more amazing animal and plants.
We'll go on a moderate hike for one or two hours (your choice) along clean and wide trails that will make you feel safe to enjoy the wildlife and landscape of Bijagua and Tenorio Volcano .
Afterwards we drive to Tenorio Volcano National Park where is located the Celeste River to visit one of the most beautiful waterfalls of C. R.
We'll wrap up our experience in the town of Bijagua enjoying a meal in a recomended local restaurant. .
