Aside from being an experienced tour guide, I'm also a historian with a great love of arts, culture and history. I'm a storyteller by nature, and my tours are a mixture of historical facts, down-to-earth explanations and engaging stories of Denmark's past and present. About my tours: I specialize in private tours tailored to the individual traveler and private groups. I always customize my tours to suit specific wishes of the individual travelers or groups. Tours to Møns Klint (with private car) and visits to Louisiana or the National Art Gallery (focus on the museum's history and architecture and Danish artists in historical context) upon request. Architecture tours in Copenhagen with focus on modern city development and urban lifestyle. Specialty tours with focus on local neighborhoods and experiences outside of city center or multi-day tours: upon request, but please reach out to me in advance if you want something not covered by the itineraries in my general tours on this site. A bit about my background: I was born in Copenhagen's vibrant Nørrebro district, and besides from 1½ years living abroad in France and Australia, I have been living in Copenhagen all my life. I studied history and Danish literature at Roskilde University and wrote my thesis on Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid". After graduating I soon realized that being a storyteller and sharing my vast historical knowledge and love of Copenhagen with others was my true passion I have worked in the Danish cultural industry since 2011, and since 2014 as a tour guide showing people around my lovely hometown. I have previously worked as a tour guide at the museum at Carlsberg Breweries as well as at the historical Kronborg Castle. Combined with my extensive knowledge of the Danish cultural industry, I can give you unique insights into Danish culture that derive from firsthand experiences. Denmark is known as one of the "happiest countries in the world". With me as a guide you will learn not only how we Danes became such a happy nation, but also why. I have previously worked for the Carlsberg Brewery Museum, Kronborg Castle, Netto-bådene Canal Tours among others, as well as for World of Greenland as a seasonal tour guide in Ilulissat, Greenland. I have 12+ years of experience in the service industry, working with customer service at the Royal Danish Theater. Writer and editor, have previously worked for several Danish cultural magazines. Besides my love for history and culture I'm a language enthusiast and currently speak 4 languages (Danish, English, French, German) while learning a 5th (Mandarin Chinese).
