Hi, My name is Karen and It'll be a pleasure to show you my city and surrunded areas.

I am a knowledgable, punctual and a friendly woman who likes to interact with her tourists, a person who has respect and love for this activity and I feel passionate about being a tour guide. I have 1 year of experience as a guide, I can do tours around the city, but I can also make day trips outside the city.

I lived in the USA for about 2 years on a foreign exchange program.

One important and special fact about my region is that is not overcrowded with tourists so you will enjoy the scenary even more. Just one hour away from the city you will see one of the deepest canyons in the world and that it is just one of the many activities we can do here.

There is a saying here in my area which is: Once you step in Santander, you become Santandereano.

San Gil is known as "Colombia's Adventure Capital" with so much to do nearby including white water rafting, paragliding, caving, rappelling, hiking, and much more.

San Gil is a town in the Santander Department of Colombia with a population of less than 50, 000. It was founded in 1689. So, San Gil is over 300 years old. In 2004, San Gil has named the tourist capital of Santander.

Each year, San Gil is being discovered by more foreign tourists but it's still off the beaten path for most tourists visiting Colombia.

Welcome to Barichara, this piece of land is one of the 17 towns of National Heritage in Colombia and it is also known as the most beautiful town in the country.

During this 9 hours tour, along the way you'll see one the deepestes canyons in the world called Chicamocha Canyon.

Once we get to the town you will enjoy the calmness of the streets. Its colonial architecture, the cobbled streets, the artisan workshops, the town's main church, some chapels and sculptures among other things that makes it so famous. You will have the chance to make your own handcrafted paper from a local plant called Fique, an experience that you do not want to miss.

In the surrunded area there are amazing viewpoints that we will visit during the walking.

We will have lunch at a local restaurant where we'll enjoy the famous and tradicional ''cabrito'' dish, arepa and other fantastic flavours.
