For your safety, I will not guide you into avalanche zones, glaciers, or known hazards. I do not provide tours of Lake Louise or Moraine Lake and I do not provide back country or overnight tours.

This tour starts with a kayaking trip in Banff. We can take a trip down a quiet stream and into Vermillion lakes or head upstream on the amazingly blue Bow River. An incredibly peaceful way to enjoy Banff National Park.

After our Kayaking we will take a drive out of the town of Banff and further explore Banff National Park. A variety of lakes in the area give up multiple hiking options along with sightseeing and picturesque viewpoints.

Both parts of our tour give us the opportunity to see wildlife and provide incredible scenery of the mountains around us away from the busy roads and vehicles. And there will be time to take in other sites in the area or a short nature walk.

There are endless options to explore and this tour provides flexibility in our time at each location to ensure you get the most out of your favorite spots. And you definitely want your cameras.

Kayaking and hiking in Banff National Park

This 5-6 hour private tour starts with our meeting in Banff at your accommodations. After a quick safety discussion and signing of the waivers, we depart for our tour. Our drive will include some history of the area, scenic viewpoints, possible wildlife, beautiful lakes, and we also do some short hikes and walks.

We will exit the vehicle at each stop giving lots of time to explore, take photos, and learn the history of Banff and the very first National Park in Canada. Our schedule and time at each location is flexible based on how much time you want to stay and enjoy each stop.

Our stops are all located in the front country area of Banff National Park. When our tour is complete, Banff will be a part of you and you can be assured you will want to come back!

This tour of Calgary is perfect for visitors who want to see the most popular sights, viewpoints, and historical areas or just learn about Calgary.

Check out historic Fort Calgary or walk the Bow River which is world renowned for its fly-fishing right downtown in view of the office towers. There are some spectacular viewpoints of downtown and nearby historic communities with shopping, pubs, dining, and boutiques. We can also visit some great downtown parks and home of the greatest outdoor show on earth, the Calgary Stampede!

This tour can be done during all times of the day and all seasons, and it will be customized for your preferred walking time and distance. For those with limited endurance or during poor weather, we can turn it into a driving tour with multiple stops and shorter walks to shorten the total walking distance.
