Guide #57089
Born in Gampern, in rural Austria (no need to look it up, but respect if you do. . . ), I moved to Vienna after doing my Civil Service at the age of 18 at the Mauthausen Concentration Camp Memorial for an education in history and slavic studies. To this day, I spend a lot of time reading what one could refer to as boring books and enjoy strolling through town, no matter the weather conditions, sometimes staying in a certain place for a drink or two. In my years working in various pubs in Vienna, I learned more about the people and this town than what University could ever teach me. It was after this that I decided to get my licence to become an official Tour Guide, to tell other people the stories created through the history of this town. In my tours, I like to mix it up not to start sounding like a broken record. Every group is unique and therefore so should be the tours. For me, as a historian, Vienna is the perfect city to live in. Not many towns in the world are so full of historical sites but still remain a city that is very much alive. It's the combination of history and modern life that makes a town interesting. Vienna is more than just a museum of the old, but also way more than just a place to live in. But see for yourself why is it that they say Vienna doesn't simply look like something, but that it is something. Austria Guide License (issued August 2020) Bachelor's Degree in History (issued December 2017) I am not a driver, I provide walking tours.
