I LOVE being a tour guide! I'm very passionate about what I do. I am brimming with positive energy, enthusiasm and I give lively entertaining tours. There will be a lot of fun, adventures… I was born in Armenia. I have been living here all my life
I have been guiding full-time since 2006 (as a Licensed Guide).
Besides being a cultural and a hiking tour guide I am also a professional wine tour guide (after a 4-month training in 2022) and I will be delighted to reveal all the secrets behind this divine drink ��
I gave my first tour in June 2003 when I was still a student at the Yerevan State University studying Romance (Spanish) & Germanic (English) Philology to get a teaching degree in English, Russian and Spanish.

I am a certified Wine Guide as I was lucky to be able to participate in an award-winning 4-month wine tour guide training program to professionally serve the travelers, let them be wine connoisseurs or simply lovers of wine who wish to learn everything about wine while exploring Armenia. The training included classroom lectures and field trips to wineries, museums and historical sites related to winemaking. I was taught wine tasting techniques as well as sensory evaluation of wine.

My Professional Tourist Guide License received in 2006 from the Armenian government. It took me 7 years to study to become a professional guide.

A day dedicated to exploration of Southern Armenia combining the magic of Armenia's finest medieval architecture with stunning landscapes.
The first stop of our trip is Khor Virap (4th century), the most sacred pilgrimage destination in Armenia where you'll get the best view of the biblical Mount Ararat (5165m)admiring its remote majesty.
Our next stop is the Monastery of Noravank, an architectural gemstone nestled among brick-red cliffs, just above a deep gorge. Then we drive to Areni village, the cradle of viticulture. This is where world's ancient winery was discovered (6000years old). Winery tour and wine tasting.
We continue driving to the south. We visit the miraculous monastery of Tatev riding the world's longest aerial tramway (5. 7km) built by the Swiss in 2010. Tatev is a formidable monastic complex founded in the 9th century. It's surrounded by bottomless gorges. According to tradition the relics of the Apostles, Sts. Peter and Paul, were placed under the dome's supporting pillars.

The Magic of Southern Armenia - Tatev

Early in the morning we'll drive towards the biblical Mount Ararat(5137m) and will visit 4th century Khor Virap Monastery at the Turkish border. Though the Mount Ararat is in the territory of modern Turkey it's the symbol of Armenia and is perfectly visible from most of the country. Khor Virap Monastery is the closest point to the mountain and besides it's the site where St. Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for 13 years according to legend before he healed the King Tiridates of Armenia who converted Armenia to Christianity. Thus Armenia became the world's first Christian country in 301A. D.
Later we'll continue to Yeghegis village where we'll see the medieval Jewish cemetery. En route we'll tour the Monastery of Noravank nestled amid huge red cliffs in a fantastic natural setting. If you like wine then we'll have a wine tasting in Areni village (including the exotic pomegranate wine), the cradle of wine making where a 6100 year old winery has been found claiming to be the oldest in the world.
