Guide #52091
Hello, my name is Alejandro, I was born in the province of Buenos Aires when I reach 6 years old, we moved with my family to the south of Argentina. So I grew up in Patagonia, together with my two sisters. In this place, so far from the big cities, I learned to love nature, get to know it, and explore it. I got my first job, which was to distribute telegrams for the Argentine Post Office in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche. I used my bicycle as a way of transportation, and with my bike, I start to explore the mountains and finally develop myself as a Mountain Bike Guide. At the age of 23, I finished my first career at Comahué University and graduated as a University Technician in Aquaculture, a profession that did not inspire me and I worked for a very short time. In the same year, I participated in a great charity event, where I had my first experience leading groups of Irish, who came to Bariloche, to cross the Andes by bicycle. I was cycling for 48 days without stopping where we crossed the Andes 20 times. This experience marked me forever. So, two years later, I decided to move near Iguazú Falls, in the city of Posadas, and start a career as a tour guide at the University of Misiones. I discovered that I loved talking to people, interacting, and sharing unique moments. Over time I specialized to become a Bicycle Guide and finally finished my Bachelor of Tourism. In 2006 I participated in an Ecotourism project very close to Iguazú Falls, in a town called Andresito. There, with the international cooperation of Japan, I trained as a Jungle Guide and discovered the beauties and values that it hides. Since 2007 I have been working in the Iguazú National Park and I became the first qualified bicycle guide with International certification. Without a doubt, the biggest attraction is the Iguazú Falls, whose falls can be heard several kilometers away, a sight worth seeing. However, the jungle that surrounds these waterfalls has the greatest value. Since if we were left without it, we would not have the water that forms the great rivers of this region. I invite you to be part of this experience, and design together the trip that can change your life and fill our hearts with energy from the rainforest!
