Snorkelling and Cultural Presentations Tour
Get ready for a day full of educational tours, fun, and cultural presentations. Our tour will start at the Small Boat Marina's, 5 min. walk from the main Wharf where a local will climb the coconut tree while another will be weaving and display products made out of coconut trees. After this educational tour we will get ready to see other culture and traditional activities like the process of how to make tapa and showcasing different types of tapa cloth, demonstrates different types of pandanus and how to cure them to make different types of mats, then have a taste of our cultural and social drink of KAVA while you will be entertained by our community youths with different cultural dances. Then the tour will take you into a splash and discover the beauty of our waters. We will snorkel in two main locations. One will be the famous 'Swallow's Cave' where you will spot different schools of coral baby fish and others and then tour will continue on to the Japanese Coral Garden and the island of Mala Resort.
8:00am-pick up from your residential destination unless you are out of town. Those out of town will be picked up from the Port of Refuge (Wharf in town)
8:30-9:30 am- Small Boat Marina's
9:30-10:00 am-Coconut Tree Climbing and Weaving and displaying coconut tree products
Cultural preformances would be either in Mailefihi College, Small Boat Marina's or Talihau village, depend on
which area will be available to deliver the tour. Weaving, Tapa Making will follow the coconut tree climbing and demonstration before the snorkeling tour.
11:00 - will continue on to Mala Island Resort and Japanese Coral Garden
12:00-1:00 am Tours will continue on to Swallow Cave for swimming and snorkeling
1:00-2:30 pm Lunch with more cultural entertainments

We had a wonderful day on this tour in Vavau and Hainite was a great guide and gave us a great insight into island life. The snorkelling was excellent and loved our trip to Swallow Cave. Would highly recommend if you are going to Vavau.
