Find what's all about in the city where you don't know why're you coming, but where you felt very good.
We meet in front of the Tourist Information Center and we start with some basic information about Romania and Timisoara today. Then we start the chronological tour of Timisoara. Chronological means that the story of the city goes along with what we see around as we walk the tour.
First we talk about the Roman conquest, the about the nomads of the first centuries, then about the Hungarian conquest and occupation. We continue with the Ottoman conquest and occupation, followed by the Austrian period. We approach the present days and we talk about Timisoara becoming part of Romania, then about Romania as a Communist country and how this awful regime was ended by a revolution which started in Timisoara.
During the tour we see the most important sights from the old town: The Castle, the few ruins dating back in the Ottoman period, the Vauban fortification system, Piata Unirii - the old downtown, Piata Libertatii and Piata Victoriei (the new downtown). We find fun facts, trivia and we have fun.
Royal Castle - Ottoman Hammam - St. George Square - The House With The Iron Tree - Maria Theresia Bastion - Dicasterial Palace - Union Square - Liberty Square - Victory Square

Very nice tour and great tour guide who answered all questions, was very knowledgeable about the city, stopped to show all sites and continually went over all events in the area, felt I learned everything about the city and new things you'd never see unless you had an experienced guide. He was friendly and I'd recommend him to everyone.
