A family in power!
This tour will allow you to get to know the history, the stories, the intrigues and secretes of the Medici family that ruled Florence for over three hundred years. The itinerary starts with the Medici-Riccardi Palace, the first residence of the family where we start understanding the use of art as a political symbol. Then it continues to the Palazzo Vecchio, where the family moved in 1539 and we admire the Signoria square, a plein-air sculpture museum, that espresses the Medici power and authority through art. We end with Pitti Palace and visit the Palatina gallery which contains part of the great art works collected by the Medici: Bronzino, Raphael, Titian, Rubens. . . . .
