I specialise in private tours of my "back yard"-- the wonderful Bay of Plenty. I love meeting visitors and whether your interests are food & wine; agriculture and ecology; geology and geothermal, a tour with me can include all of these.
About me: I spent the first 21 years of my life living in many different states in the USA as my Dad was an officer in the US Army. My undergraduate study years were spent in Williamsburg, Virginia—attending America's oldest University and in 1982 I won a fellowship to study at the University of St Andrews, Scotland's oldest 'Uni". After graduating with a Masters Degree and living in London for several years I decided to take a teaching job in New Zealand. My career progressed from lecturer, to Dean, to Principal to CEO. From 2004-2009 I was CEO of two private training Colleges based in both New Zealand and Australia.
In 2012, I decided I wanted to cut back on the high stress job and create a lifestyle where I could use my teaching, communication and management skills in a new and exciting way that incorporated my love of travel and people. My goal is to deliver the kind of great experiences to my clients that I'd like myself (or my family & friends) to receive--- a tour guides version of the "Golden Rule"!
Since 2012 I've been director of an award winning boutique tour company located in the Bay of Plenty with Qualmark Certification & Enviro Awards, Certificate of Excellence awards and NZ Transport Passenger Service Licensing.
I am confident I will deliver a fabulous day tour in the Bay of Plenty. Book with me and I am sure you will not be disappointed.
I look forward to meeting you!

Susanna was a super tour guide. The trip as well planned out and specific to our group's needs. We were off the tourist path and had a delicious lunch at a local spot. We all enjoyed the natural wonders of New Zealand and also our trip to a kiwi farm. Highly recommend Susanna!
