An all-inclusive full day tour to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Mt Field National Park (including Russell Falls)
At Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary you'll have the opportunity to get up close to and learn about Tasmanian wildlife many of which are rare, endangered or even endemic. You will see the iconic Tasmanian Devil, Wombats, Echidna, Kangaroos, Possums, Emus. . . just to name a few.
We'll travel to Mt Field National Park alongside the Derwent and Tyenna rivers for a leisurely nature walk taking you to Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls and if you want a longer walk in amongst the tall forests that Tasmania is well known for.
This tour is all inclusive of the entry fee for Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and national park pass for Mt Field National Park. You will also enjoy morning tea and a picnic lunch featuring Tasmanian produce and sweet treats and bottled water.
We travel through the picturesque Derwent Valley, through the town of New Norfolk and pass hop fields, orchards and farmland along the way. We'll stop alongside the Tyenna River to look for a platypus while enjoying morning tea.
Continuing to Mt Field National Park you'll enjoy a stunning & leisurely nature walk to Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls amongst the tall trees of the forest and learn about the natural environment. How much walking you do will be up to you - there's an option to suit all.
Having walked up an appetite, enjoy a picnic lunch featuring Tasmanian produce & sweet treats along with tea/coffee/juice.
After lunch we'll make our way to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary where you'll meet some amazing unique and endemic creatures. Become truly inspired by the work of a dedicated team of wildlife keepers & volunteer wildlife carers. You'll also learn some amazing stories of endurance and survival of injured and orphaned native Tasmanian animals.

Departure from Hobart CBD accommodation is complimentary; Airport meet and greet is available by arrangement.
If you are staying in accommodation outside of the city area, I will meet you at the Hobart Travel and Information Centre on the corner of Elizabeth & Davey Streets, Hobart (unless arranged otherwise).
FOR CRUISE SHIP ARRIVALS
I will meet you at the cruise ship terminal in Hobart. Upon disembarkation, please make your way inside the main terminal building. You will find me near the tourist information desk and I will be holding a sign with your name clearly displayed.
End location: I will return you to your hotel or cruise ship. You may wish end your tour at a different location to where it started. If you would like to end your tour somewhere specific, please let me know as soon as possible - or we can arrange this during your tour.

If you are visiting Hobart on a cruise ship and booking this tour as a shore excursion, the duration of this tour may need to be adjusted accordingly to be sure of a timely return to the cruise terminal.
You will travel in a modern, air-conditioned passenger vehicle, sedan or SUV (depending on tour and number of participants).
2016 Toyota Kluger SUV (aka Highlander) - up to 6 passengers* plus driver
* 5th and 6th passengers will step up through wide opening passenger doors, behind the middle row into a 3rd row of seating.
2008 VW Jetta Sedan - seats up to 4 passengers plus the driver
* Ideal for 3 passengers however a 4th passenger (of smaller stature) may be seated in the middle of the back seat.
In addition to my services as your guide, you will enjoy all touring, entry fees for Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, National Park Pass for Mt Field National Park, morning tea including hot beverages, a picnic lunch featuring Tasmanian produce and sweet treats as well as bottled water.
