BY POPULAR DEMAND: Meet the makers of the finest and most awarded wine from Chile!
Allright , The wait is over. I finally bring to you the best Wine tour in Chile: Tabali Winerie.
Tabali wines capture the pure and natural influence of the untamed coast of Limarí. Located in a small hidden valley almost touching the sea, this area belongs to a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO: Fray Jorge National Park. The particular 'Camanchaca' morning mist covers the hills of Talinay every day. This vineyard is the only place in Chile planted over pure limestone soils.
It was one of the first wineries to settle in the Limarí Valley. It's one of the most promising valleys of the country and it's located in the North of Chile, in Ovalle. The proximity to the Atacama Desert and to the Pacific Ocean, brings an exceptional and unique terroir, ideal for the production of high quality wines.
You will be amazed by the climate and the views that the tabalí vineyard has to offer, along with a private tour which finishes with an exquisite tasting of two premium quality Talinay wines, and a fine cheese platte
The tour starts at the meeting point, but it's highly recommended that this happens as early as possible, since the trip from Coquimbo or La Serena to Ovalle, in the Limarí province, is an hour and a half long. Once we arrive to the Tabali vineyard and factory, I will team up with a local guide who will explain the process of winemaking and the singular characteristics of this wine in spanish, so I will translate it to you. At the end of the tour, we will be offered a wine and cheese tasting, and later, once the tour is finished, we will head to a local restaurant (the lunch is included in this tour) and then we will start the journey back to the Elqui province.
