A Private Day Trip to Stonehenge and Bath
Join me on a day excursion from London to explore a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the most famous and mysterious ancient stone circle on Earth, Stonehenge.
Stonehenge is a huge prehistoric monument, a ring of standing stones whose builders and it's purpose still remain a mystery to this day.
We will walk in the footsteps of our Neolithic ancestors and then in to the Stonehenge Exhibition at the fantastic new English Heritage Visitor Centre.
Bath, with it's honey coloured beautiful Georgian architecture has been described as "a drop of golden honey in a sea of green".
Come with me to explore the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, the Georgian architecture and maybe treat ourselves to afternoon tea in The Regency Tea Rooms at the Jane Austen Centre.

From your central London hotel we shall head directly to the City of Bath, a journey of just under 2 hours, on our arrival we will be refreshed from our journey by a visit to one of Bath's finest coffee houses.
We will start our exploration with a visit to the Roman Baths to visit the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House and Museum.
There are many amazing options for lunch before we continue on to see highlights such as the Bath Abbey, the Assembly Rooms with it's Fashion Museum and the Jane Austen Visitor Museum. As we walk from place to place we shall see the beautiful Georgian architecture all around us.
We shall leave Bath late afternoon for our journey on to Stonehenge to view the mysterious standing stones and magical landscape. We shall learn about the people involved in its construction and its meaning through a thoroughly interesting combination of cutting edge audio-visual experience's and displays of ancient objects.
After a very full day, relax as we head back to central London.

Meeting location: Meet and greet in your hotel lobby or preferred pick up point located in central London.
I shall identify myself by showing you my guiding badge which are clearly displayed.
My Transport for London Authority Cab Drivers Licence are clearly displayed on the front and rear windscreens of my Licensed London Black Taxi.
End location: I shall return you to your hotel or any preferred central London location at the conclusion of your tour.
