Fushimi - Religious Red Gates, Spiritual Mountain and Sake
Fushimi is located to the south of Kyoto city centre. Fushimi Inari Shrine is famous for its photogenic red gates. In addition, as a personal opinion, the mountain climbing behind the shrine is a wonderful experience. You will feel calm and spiritual atmosphere in wonderful nature, with the paths less crowded.
This area is also famous for its distinctive sake, compared to Nada of Kobe.
You will see through this tour another wonderful side of Kyoto, Japan.
After we meet at your place in Kyoto, we will go to Fushimi Inari Shrine. Depending on where you stay, it will take at most 1 hour to get there. We are going to walking around the shrine for about 2 hours. If you have enough physical strength, it is a good idea to climb the mountain behind the shrine and to enjoy awesome natural surroundings. On the way, we are flexible to stop at some cafes to take a rest.
Coming back to Fushimi-Inari station, we will head to Fushimi-Momoyama station. We will go to Gekkeikan Ohkura sake brewery and Fushimi Sake Village. Learn and taste Kyoto sake and find your own taste for that drink!
