Activity-packed day ideal for families with children
Let's take a tour around the western side of Martinique and do fun activities mixed with sightseeing!
We start by a visit to the "Village de la Poterie", an old pottery nowadays hosting also many artisan shops, restaurants and a very good French-style bakery. Then follows some watersport-fun at the Anse à L'Ane beach where you'll enjoy a banana or a donut ride and a refreshing swim. After, we'll do some snorkeling at the Anse Dufour - cove, eat lunch in a local restaurant or a snack and finish with a beautiful view on the Diamond Rock before heading back.
NOTE: watersports center closed on Mondays
We'll first visit the "Village de la Poterie" artisan's village where you can visit the different art studios, souvenir, decoration and artisan shops.
Then we continue the beautiful Anse à L'Ane- beach where watersport fun awaits for you! Choose between a donut, a banana or a flyboard ride or enjoy a swim at the beach with its view on the bay of Fort-de-France.
We continue to Anses d'Arlet and head to the Anse Dufour creek for some swimming and snorkeling. Here, in addition to fishing boats if lucky, you can spot turtles and surely will see many tropical fish and coral sponges while snorkeling.
Follows a drive through the town of Anses d'Arlet, stopping to take some photos of the church and its pictoresque center. Then heading to le Diamant, on the way at Morne Larcher mountain we have a wonderful view of the Diamond Rock. After a short stop at Memorial Cap 110 °(a memorial to a shipwrecked slave ship) and we finish with a visit to le Diamant, before driving back to Fort-de-France.
