The last real ski town in the west
Not well known by the general ski population that wants to go to places like Whistler and Vail, Crested Butte packs a powerful punch with real skiing. The 1600 plus acres offers all levels of skiing in a beautiful setting with a "real" town. The Butte, as it is know, is an old coal mining town that has attracted skiers looking for a ski experience without the fluff of large resorts yet has a spectacular food, beer, and spirits scene. Stay in town or at slope side in the Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Town is a simple two mile, free, bus ride.
As your guide:
*I will key-in on exactly what you desire in skiing and find it for you.
*I know the mountain with precision and your skiing time will be maximized. No searching (and wasting precious skiing time) for the right run and conditions
*I will share stories on the regional geology and colorful local history.
*I will provide (when asked!) skiing tips and pointers to better your skills using the Harald Harb PMTS method.
The day of the skiing we will meet at a pre-designated meeting spot and time. At that point we will chat as to what you might like to ski. Lift choices are easy. SKI! Lifts rides are a great place to chat and find out about each other. It is the sharing of skiing with new and old friends that makes it all the more special. Depending upon the size of the group and abilities we will find just the right places for you on whatever mountain we are on. Lunch and breaks will evolve naturally. Unfortunately, the ski day will end and then it will be goodbye. I am available for multiple days of guiding.
