Combining the birthplace of Vermeer and Blue Delft with the Royal City of the Hague
On this tour we take in the historic Dutch town of Delft with its canals, churches and Blue Delft ceramics. Next is The Hague, Royal residence and seat of government of the Netherlands with its grand government buildings, Royal palace, Peace Palace (International Court of Justice) and its prestigious centre.
We first drive off to Delft for a walking tour through the compact centre of the historic city including the Market Square, Town Hall, Old and New Church (Royal Crypt) and Prince's Court. See the town where the famous painter Johannes Vermeer was born, lived and worked. We then move on to The Hague. We will have a look at the Houses of Parliament the Royal Palace, (Peace Palace) International Court of Justice and the city centre.
Lunch in the Hague. Suggestion: Dutch Pancakes, Indonesian or local fish.
