What I love most about Nakuru is that there is always something to encounter, from male weaver birds working themselves into a frenzy, noisily wooing a reluctant female, to lions getting ready for a hunt or baboons fighting for dominance. . .

This is a full-day excursion that takes you on a Safari adventure outside Nairobi visiting four attractions within the Great Rift Valley.

Lake Nakuru gives you the opportunity to observe flamingos as well as search for other wildlife such as buffaloes, rhino, giraffes and baboons. Lake Nakuru is world famous also as a sanctuary for both black and white rhino. Besides that, more than 400 species of birds can be seen in the park.

Between the lake and the cliffs in the west, large pythons inhabit the dense woodland, and can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling from trees.

Nairobi National Park Urban and Wild Safari

Since I began my undergraduate in Tourism, I had always visited Nairobi National Park whenever I had 3 to 4 hours of my free time. Whether you are in Kenya for business or for holiday, Nairobi National Park is just the therapeutic place to orient yourself back to the city or to the wild.

I later moved to live next to the park where I can see the wildlife from my house since guiding in the wild is my full time job. If there's a place I contemplate as the palm of my hand, it is Nairobi National Park. So, WELCOME TO MY HOME!

The tour starts with an early morning visit to Nairobi National Park where you have a chance to see lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeest and giraffes amongst other animals. We then visit David Sheldrick elephant sanctuary where they foster juvenile elephants orphaned by poaching and natural death of their mothers. From there the group will proceed to the Giraffe center and lunch at Karen Blixen. Souvenir shopping could also be included in the plan if you want to. Just ask!

Lake Naivasha is one the havens for tourists and one of the fresh water lakes in the Great Rift Valley with different fish species. The area is attached to other interesting attractions like Crescent Island located in Lake Naivasha, the island famously known for the famous scenes of the movie 'Out of Africa',

The island offers amazing walks with the herbivores including the zebras and giraffes.
Few Kilometers from Crescent Island is the famous Hell's Gate National Park, a remarkable quarter of the Rift Valley with spectacular scenery, towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam and a diverse of lovely herbivores. The only national park in Kenya you can walk and cycle with the wild animals.

The main reason I like guiding in these 2 destinations is just to enjoy the thrill of getting a close up with the wild animals, the best feeling being just few meters away from the zebra, giraffes and many herbivores. The experience is priceless.

Our Safari begins in the Wild city- Nairobi National Park and Selected Wildlife Sanctuaries still within the city. The cocktail of the city and jungle gives a perfect picturesque opportunity.
After the city Galore, we head north to the Kenyan Highlands - Samburu National Reserve. Greeted by long Duom palms and Hilly landscapes with vibrant wildlife.

We the head down to Ol Pejeta- Home of the remaining northern white Rhino species and abundant diverse wildlife species. This is also the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya. The Abasuba Community Peace Museum on Mfangano Island was established to safeguard the language of the Abasuba people who'd been assimilated by the Luo people. I was then coordinating rock art cultural heritage programs in Africa. . . Mawanga rock art school is maybe one of the badges on me that I'm most proud of. . . A school entirely built by community guides through TOURIST GUIDING FEES raised from Mawanga rock art site. . . . . I have forever adored the visits to the western Frontier.

It will be a pleasure of mine to guide you to Ruma National Park, home to two rare species, the Roan antelope and the Oribi. . . a sole member of its genus amongst other species.
