Its one of the most important museums in Lithuania. Main residence og the roolers of the grand dukes of Lithuania was built in 13th century and in 15th century it became luxurious italian renaissance style palace. Unfortunately the palace was damaged, abandoned after the war with Russia in 17th century and completely destroyed 200 years ago. Almost 500 000 archaeological findings were found in the territory: parts oh the houses from 13-14 centuries, wells, titles, weapons, tools of craftsmen, jewelries and many others.
