Palace of the rollers of the Grand duchy of Lithuania in Vilnius
Its one of the most important museums in Lithuania. Main residence og the roolers of the grand dukes of Lithuania was built in 13th century and in 15th century it became luxurious italian renaissance style palace. Unfortunately the palace was damaged, abandoned after the war with Russia in 17th century and completely destroyed 200 years ago. Lithuanians had always a dreamed to rebuilt the main residence of The Grand Duchy of Lithuania. It was done and finished at 2009. Almost 500 000 archaeological findings were found in the territory: parts oh the houses from 13-14 centuries, wells, titles, weapons, tools of craftsmen, jewelries and many others. Its interesting to look at the authentic ruins of the gothic castle, to hear history of our country, to explore archaeological findings found in the castles territory, to look at the recreated interiors and to hear about royal life in Lithuania and many interesting details. Entrance price 3 EUR is not included in the tour price.
