Day trip to Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio.
You will love this incredible excursion to lesser known destinations within "striking" distance of Rome. We will enjoy a great variety of beautiful viilages and towns combined with lovely countryside vistas, great food, fascinating art and cultural experiences, wonderful shopping, and even some special winetasting opportunities in an ancient winecellar.
A day to remember, the real Italian country side.
We leave Rome in the early morning and head for Tuscania, a wonderful Etruscan town where we will have our first Cappuccino and take great pictures. Then we will head for Lake Bolsena where we will visit the little medieval town, walking along the lake.
Bagnoregio, the little "dying" city on top of a hill where only 12 people live, will be a perfect stop for bruschetta and a hike before we will head for Orvieto where a wonderful little lunch with the locals can be arranged by your tour leader.
We will visit the Duomo and the wonderful Brizi Chapel painted by Luca Signorelli and wander the beautiful twisting streets of this town built by the Etruscan on top of a volcanic hill. Orvieto is also famous for fabulous ceramics and great wine.
Time for shopping and back to Rome.

We had an amazing day! This is the perfect day trip from Rome for adults & kids. Roberto was a great host. We all felt so comfortable with him. We drove to the breathtaking towns of Civita & Orvieto. In Civita we walked a very steep hill to get to the town and the views are unreal. We did shopping had wine & gelato and saw the sights. Next we drove to Ovieto. This town was equally as breathtaking. We had a authentic lunch met some locals, shopped and visited the Dumo. The day couldn't have been better!
