Extended Full Day Private Tour for up to 3 people
**Please note this tour is available from June - September ONLY due to closed mountain roads.
We will begin taking the highest paved road in North America to watch the sun rise from the summit of Mt Evans. From there we'll head to Trail Ridge Road through Granby to Rocky Mountain National Park and into Estes Park then taking Peak to Peak highway through Nederland, back to Idaho Springs. This tour will start at 4 am.

Any hiking is easy to moderate but will likely include uphill and walking on large rocks/boulders. Wear appropriate shoes/boots and dressing in layers is recommended. Bring a water bottle also, even in the winter months. Cameras are encouraged and if you have them, a wide angle lens and a tripod!

We will begin our day at 4 am meeting in Idaho Springs and immediately taking the highest paved road in North America to the summit of Mt Evans to watch the sun rise. Then we will head north on US 40 through Grandby and by Grand Lake to the west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. Taking Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous highway in the US, through the park and into Estes Park. Then we will take Peak to Peak highway south, back through the mountains, via Nederland back to Idaho Springs. We will see many area attractions along the way, including Long's Peak, Alluvial Fan, Mt Meaker and MORE! There is a great deal of wild life to observe as well; elk, moose, mountain goats, marmots and so many others!
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: We will meet in Idaho Springs, Colorado in the parking lot of the McDonald's restaurant. Or, upon request, traveler may request pick up in Denver for an additional fee.
End location: You will be taken back to the same place where you were picked up.
Duration: 14 hours
Unexpected weather can develop in the mountains causing us to alter our route.
Transportation provided, walking and some hiking will be needed. In the summer, high tourist season, traffic will be significant in the mountains and national park. This may curtail extended plans for the visit due to traffic movement.

125 USD - We will stop for meals along the route. Unopened bottled drinks will be provided in vehicle.
Any shopping and meals are separate charges. Unopened bottled drinks in a cooler will be provided in the vehicle or your are welcome to bring your own water bottle as well.

Pets may not be welcome as they are not allowed on trails inside many park areas.
