My parents are native.
My studies are in archaeology (Bachelor, MA, PhD). I worked for several years as an archaeologist and I know better than anyone the history of the monuments of the island.
I became a tour guide because I wanted to share with the visitors of Rhodes my love for the island where I lived most of my life. Moreover, I would like to share with them the stories I was listening from my grandparents about the recent history of the island. This last fact is actually the history that no one can find in any history book.
We are extremely proud for our island - for its natural beauty and its monuments - and our greek dialect which has preserved many ancient words. Travelling to Rhodes is not only a travel to a modern resort but it is also like travelling back in time.
It will be a pleasure for me to be your tour guide. I really enjoy tour guiding. Every time I am booked for a tour I feel like I am participating in a feast! A tour for me is not only a tour in Rhodes for my guests. It is also my tour to their countries since it is a pleasure for me to talk with my guests and to find things in common or not between our countries.
A Recent Review of this guide
Another wonderful day with Tsambika. Today: Kamiros, Acropolis of Ialyssos, Castle of Kritinea. We saw slews of peacocks, high mountain views of the countryside & coast, the blues of the sea and had a most oustanding lunch, perfectly cooked lamb, eggplant salad, zuccini patties, grilled bread with olive oil & herbs Rhodes version of grappa. Best of all the afffection felt when both driver & guide separately invited me to families' Christmas dinner. Rhodians are the kindest people.Tsambika: excellent guide

I am not a driver. I provide the tour guiding. I can take tours with private transportation by using a separate driver with it's own vehicle."
