We took a day trip from Tokyo to Nikko and spent about 5 hours touring with Ken. We toured the lavish Toshogu Shrine and the Futarasan Shrine, and walked a path lined with Jizo Statues, the guardian deity of children. We ended our tour at the former summer palace of the emperor, the Tamozawa Imperial Villa. Ken was knowledgeable and also very helpful in planning our train transportation to Nikko. My husband enjoyed chatting with Ken about Japanese baseball and sumo wrestling. A great day!!

Ken was an amazing guide! We had a great time. He quickly adjusted to our pace and engaged with all of us. Ken was happy to respond to a myriad of questions from my 11 year old, while keeping my wife and I engrossed with the history and the architecture. He found the perfect vegetarian restaurant for us as well. And made sure we were completely satisfied with all aspects of the tour. I am happy we got Ken as our guide. My son is still raving about him.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Nikko with Ken. He was engaging, informative, and very kind. It was a wonderful experience in a magical place.
Ken provided an excellent tour of historic Nikko. He provided detailed simple instructions of how to use public transport to travel from Tokyo to Nikko to meet him there for the tour. On tour his understanding and knowledge of this historic site was outstanding, with nothing too much trouble. On the way back he also provided great advice on where to get excellent dumplings while we waited for our connecting train to Tokyo. Highly recommended
