Jiri drove us to Terezin on October 15, 2010. It's about an hour north of Prague. He provided the history of the town, its original status as a garrison, and its use during the Holocaust. Many buildings were identified and described, but most of the specific information about the events during WWII were provided by tour guides in Terezin. Much of what Jiri did was drive us there, drive us back, and provide an overview. Although several sites required contracted guides, Jiri could have done more.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I am sorry that you feel this way but if the individual facilities provide their own "local facility" guides there's not much more I can do. I answered all your questions, gave the overview, treated you politely, took the extra detour to follow the steps of the "marches of death" instead going strait to Terezin, and even drove you to the opposite side of town after the tour (as you wished); maybe I could have done more than that...? I did my best to keep you happy.
