I think Kenji did a wonderful job of taking us around Tokyo. We saw--in particular--the Asakusa Kannon temple, the Meiji shrine, the Shinjuku Gyeon park, and Shibuya crossing, as well as the Ginza area. In addition, he took us to an excellent noodle shop for lunch. His English was excellent, he conveyed the essentials of Shintoism and Buddhism as well as the historical backgrounds of the shrines. Given that it was Golden Week, he did this all under difficult circumstances of huge crowds.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Michael, Thank you so much for your favorable comment and rating. We were able to visit the Imperial Palace Plaza when the new Emperor Naruhito addressed the people who gathered in front of the Imperial Palace to celebrate his accession to the throne, although we had no time to enter the palace because of too long a queue to join. Yes, everywhere was very crowded on that day in Tokyo. I enjoyed your company very much. Kenji
