Mikari took me to several shrines- some old & stately, others small & tucked away on side streets, one modern with LED banners. I saw young girls touch the head of a carved rabbit, the temple guardian, for help in finding a husband. Learn the proper way to respectfully enter an unusual 3-tori gate. Pull the rope, sound the gong, summon the god, say a prayer! Then we shopped in the arcade, bought snacks, saw vintage kimonos & went to the 100 yen store. Thank you, Mikari, for a fun & interesting morning!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi, Ann. Thank you for booking my tour and giving me a chance to serve as your guide today. I got excited to read your comment. It's very kind of you to review the tour in detail and I was happy to know that you enjoyed exploring Osu. Nagoya is an exciting city. Thank you again for lots of inspiration and encouragement. Hope we will have another chance to meet. Best wishes!

Mihari was wonderful. When we learnt that the cherry blossoms would be blooming during our visit, with my OK she rearranged the itinerary and brought us to Togokusan Fruitpark to view the blossoms instead of the Tokugawa museum. Flowers were absolutely gorgeous. We then visited Nagoya Castle. Her explanations about the history of the samurai and the Tokugawa plus the little stories she told about the rooms made it so interesting. Highly recommended guide. Have had many guides and she is one of the best.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you so much dear Jo-Ann for your quick review with a high evaluation. I am happy to know that you enjoyed the tour with me and mostly pleased to know that you liked the park where drooping cherry blossoms of more than 1,000 trees were in full bloom. I also fondly recall our conversation at the Nagoya Castle. There are more to see and to do in Nagoya. I will try to be much better next time I see you and your sweet daughter. Thank you again for having me as your tour guide.
Mikari-san arrived early at our hotel and gave us a quick overview on where we would go. I had chosen the tour to Osu Kannon and told her my friends were more interested in shopping but that we would not be averse to seeing the temple of that area. We got a bit of history, via some tidbits regarding the first rulers of Nagoya, and a mechanical puppet show. We then dove into shopping and she helped me find a knife shop I needed to find. She went the extra mile and was very pleasant.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Mira-san, thank you for coming to Nagoya and for giving me a chance to serve you as a guide. I’m happy to know that you all enjoyed the tour. It was fun for me to find a knife shop out of 1,000 more small shops in the area. Osu shopping arcade is really exciting place to explore. There are more interesting spots and activities in Nagoya. I do look forward to your next visit. Thank you again. Mikari
