Lesley was terrific! During the long drive to the Cullinan mine, she provided a continuous flow of information about South Africa, its history (starting with its geologic formation billions of years ago!), up to current socioeconomic and political status. Her knowledge about her home country is encyclopedic, and she delivers information in a clear, concise style. Spending the day with her was altogether pleasant, due to her engaging personality and sense of humor. Highly recommended tour!

Leslie showed us a broad and interesting selection of suburbs and city, negotiating traffic and routes with admirable expertise while giving us a running history of the area beginning at pre biological life times and culminating with current times just before she dropped us back at our accommodation. Not a moment was lost but we did not feel rushed at all.

A wonderful learning day covering the evolution, history , people of South Africa and especially Johannesburg. We drove pretty much around this very sprawling city to see its successes and challenges of the past and now. Lesley is a treasure trove of information and knowledge and led us through the history with an in depth knowledge that would be hard to beat. Also a good supply on board of snacks and drinks that allowed us to skip lunch and see a lot more. A very interesting and thought provoking day..

Although our time limitation, having just an evening and early next morning , Lesley did an outstanding tour around Johannesburg with my family of six people. We have covered the main points of the town and had a complete explanation of South Africa's history. Her car is comfortable what makes the tour pleasant and her good mood is very nice. She is an incredible guide ! Roberto Morais ( Brazil )

First class tour and introduction to Johannesburg and Soweto. Lesley is passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about South Africa and all it has to offer. We learnt so much. She provides a quality tour service with nice little extras like snacks and drinks in a modern, clean and comfortable van. Lesley is so polite and helpful through both the booking process and delivery of the tour. I have no hesitation in recommending her services and would certainly book with her again.

Lesley picked us up at the airport for our Johannesburg and Soweto tour, meeting us at baggage claim with our name on a sign. For the next approximately 6 hours gave us a most interesting and informative tour of the region. This woman knows her neighborhoods as well as the geological, anthropological and historical information of South Africa. Highly recommend!

I couldn't imagine having a better tour guide. Lesley is the most informative person. Her knowledge is astounding and enthusiasm contagious. Having traveled for almost 2 days and feeling utterly exhausted, I was weary about the tour, however her passion and bubbly personality energized me. I feel she went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience. Thank you for your great communication, your willingness to pick me up at the airport at the crack of dawn and the most AMAZING memorable tour ❤️

We would most certainly give a 5 star rating as Lesley’s enthusiasm and knowledge for all things relating to South Africa, and Joburg in particular, was outstanding. She adapted the tour to suit our interests and was willing and able to talk informatively on history, geography, wildlife, social issues and politics. During the day we saw and learned so much and the whole experience was a great adventure.

Very informative and educational. Falls short of a full five first because of logistics which probably were not the guide's fault but we spent a lot of time in traffic and didn't see as much as we hoped. A second small deduct was a slight apparent bias towards the earlier Afrikaner point of view and a tendency to tar all black Africans with the corruption of the current regime. But all in all, we learned a lot and she was a very charming and informed hostess.

IF you want an intense historical overview of the city in 3+ hours plus visits to all the key sites, then this tour is for you. Lesley puts her heart and soul into the monologue because she is a native and knows all of the ramifications from that perspective. It was a bit overwhelming and would of liked a slower pace with more stops.

It was our first day in Johannesburg, in fact out first day in SA. Leslie gave us a great quick overview of the city. Even though it was only one day, I ended the tour feeling that I had a good start on understanding the city. When I booked the tour I asked to see areas that were being revitalized. Leslie responded perfectly by showing us specific neighborhoods and giving us some insight to the politics and history of the area. A really fun and productive tourist day.

Lesley is a wonderful guide - extremely knowledgeable, passionate about the tour topics, flexible, easy to communicate with, ability to tailor each day/tour, ++. We did three days of touring - The Cradle of Humankind including the caves; experiencing Johannesburg and its history including SA's history, and a split day - a visit to the De Wildt cheetah run and sanctuary incl. wild dogs and other game; and a visit to Pretoria including the history of the Afrikaners. She delivers a great customer experience

I cannot recommend her highly enough if you want an in depth tour in the Johannesburg area. We intend asking her to host another tour before we leave.

Lesley was a wealth of knowledge and navigated Johannesburg/Soweto with ease. We learned SO much about the city of Joburg and South Africa. She came prepared with sustenance & helped guide us through the museum stops. We did a shorter tour which I initially thought was enough, but her passion for her city and its history was infectious and left me hoping for a return visit so I could see everything else we didn't have time for. Highly recommend her if you want to truly understand the city and its history.

Lesley is Tops !!! She toured us all around JNB, Soweto & the Cradle sights (Cave & Museum), plus the Origins Museum at the WIT University - just the type of custom tour we hoped for & she delivered. She orchestrated this all perfectly, picking us up at Tambo airport in an upmarket A/C van with a picnic basket of drinks & goodies - much appreciated after Zimbabwe. Easy communicator & Top Guide - you'll enjoy !!!! A+++++

Our day with Lesley in Jo"burg was great. She gave us a great overview of neighborhoods, of the founding as well as the more recent changes. We felt safe and educated by someone local, but she also understood where we were coming from, literally, so could explain and portray what makes this part of South African so special.

Lesley is amazing! Our tour of Johannesburg was informative, interesting and fun! Lesley has encyclopedic knowledge of the history of South Africa...from the geology to the people to the politics and way beyond. She covered about 1 million years of history. She is a great driver and has a super clean and air conditioned car. She picked a fantastic lunch spot. I had high expectations for our tour...and she exceeded them!

Lesley put a considerable amount of time and effort into designing a tour specifically for our needs. I can't believe how much ground we covered in 4 days with her. Extremely knowledgeable and passionate on the history and nature of South Africa. On a more personal front she is fun, flexible, and looked after us extremely well. A great introduction to South Africa. Best regards Luke
