Sean was an absolute jewel of a tour guide. Our Whistle Stop tour was fantastic - we had limited time and he showed us all the highlights. He had a wonderful knowledge of history, the area, and was a storehouse of wonderful stories about Dublin and the country. We couldn't have had a better tour guide, and as always, we are grateful to Tours by Locals for providing such wonderful guides.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Hallie Many thanks for your kind words. It was a pleasure to show you my native city and I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. Many thanks for remembering me. Sean

Sean O gives an amazing tour of sites of the Irish Rebellion throughout Dublin and is very passionate and knowledgeable about Irish history. Before the tour we didn't understand much about Irish history so we had a very interesting day touring places that are significant to the Rebellion as well as other sites in Dublin. Lunch was even in a historic place called the School House. All in all, a great day! Thanks Sean O!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Many thanks Nancy... A pleasure and very enjoyable to swap great banter. Thanks for remembering me! Le gach deá ghui Sean

Beyond the pale...I've heard that phrase my whole life. Sean built this 5 hour tour for us to get out of the Dublin city center & see the countryside to the north. We visited Mellifont Abbey which is right at the dividing line of English controlled Dublin & the area to the north that was "beyond the pale. We then travelled to Monasterboice which has 1100 year old engraved crosses which told stories of the Bible for Irish converts. Finally it was on to the Fourknocks Passage Tomb which is 5000+ years old.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Michelle I am really very flattered by your kindness. Please send me a few fjord pics.Ive a feeling they will be stunning. Sean

Sean was outstanding! It was as if our old friend picked us up & was showing us around his favorite places in town. Sean is knowledgeable of Irish history, very familiar with navigation of the area & pointed out lots of unique spots that were off the normal tourist routes. His recommendations for other activities during our stay were well suited to our interests and our time available in the area. Take advantage of our new Irish friend Sean.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Michelle and Drew...a privilege to make your acquaintance....and a pleasure to hang out with you. Go dte sibh slan Sean

Sean was most knowledgeable of Dublin. We had a couple of unique requests that he was able to accommodate. One was my request to visit a big alley, a 30X60 four wall handball court. The modern game of four wall handball was originated by the Irish on the 30X60 court. My wife visited an Irish quilt store. Highlights of the tour were our lunch at the historic Schoolhouse Hotel Restaurant and The Tom Johnson House where Mike Collins led the signing of Anglo-Irish Treaty creating the Irish Free State in 1922.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Jimmy Thanks very much for your kind comments.I hope your lovely gang had a great tour.A privilege to serve you. Slan abhaile Sean
