Outstanding day at Teotihuacan with Juan! I was eager to see the pyramids and Juan was a great guide for the experience. He is knowledgeable, charming and accommodating. He picked me up at my hotel on time and arranged a great day with the pyramids, a nice restaurant for the lunch break, and visits to a monestary and to the Virgin of Guadeloupe on the way back to the city. I highly recommend Juan as a guide.

Juan was a great guide. Mexico City is a large place with a complicated history, Juan guiding us through the highlights made the day more interesting and fun.

Juan is very knowledgeable about each site we visited. He researched the subjects well and shared his research. His English was great and he was incredibly patient and allowed us to take our time, as we are all senior citizens. We throughly enjoyed our time with him.

We enjoyed every aspect of our time with Juan, and highly recommend him and this tour, we are big fans of Frida and Diego and Juan was very knowledgeable on their lives and every other aspect of the tour. We enjoy walking and the pace and locations visited exceeded our expectations. We will be sure to try and book another tour with him if we are able to return to Mexico City.

We had a fabulous day with Juan. He's knowledgable and fun; an intellectual who also understands the cultural vibe. He took us into endless secret pockets of the area and we did everything from: museums to churros, veggie food to arty shops. We felt we knew Frida and Diego too by the end of the day. Juan's English is excellent and he is passionate about the city - which makes the day fly by. Highly recommend. The Cobains UK

Juan was not only a wonderful guide but a companion that shared his passion and excitement with each place we visited. As ardent Diego Rivera fans, our day started with a visit to the Carcomo de Delores, a site most unusual with monumental works by Rivera. No mention in guide books of this impressive place! Incredible! DO NOT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THIS WORK! It was so impressive that we thought it would overshadow the rest of the day. Not so. Juan sped us to many other hidden Treasures! Bravo!

Excellent tour with well prepared guide. He had planned the day so we saw things we had hoped to see—and several stops we had not heard of and enjoyed. Really a good day. Juan is good company and we enjoyed our day immensely.

Juan is dedicated to his craft. He made the trip easy, relaxed, enjoyable and more importantly we learnt a great deal about Mexico, Aztecs, pre-aztecs at Teotihuacan, etc. Recommend highly.

Our visit to the Cayoacan and San Angel neighborhoods was our 2nd tour with Juan. We booked specifically to see the Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera residences, museums and studios, but we were able to see so much more. Saturday was "the" day to experience the markets, both outdoor vendors and higher end retail stores. We discovered that San Angel is a very charming neighborhood and a go-to must. We enjoyed tacos, churros and Mexican soda and fruit drinks. All in all a jam packed, wonderful day.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hello Regina! Thank you very much for your kind words. Showing you and Megan one of my favorite neighborhoods like San Angel was a real pleasure. I had a wonderful time with you and definitely would like to see you both someday back in the always hectic but amazing Mexico City!

My girlfriend and I chose Teotihuacan as our 1st guided tour during our 4-day stay in Mexico City. Juan was knowledgeable about the site and knew exactly how to execute logistics so that we made the best of our time both at Teotihuacan and the 2nd leg of the tour at the Guadalupe Shrine. He's an excellent driver, a good sport about taking pictures, and very considerate about bathroom and lunch breaks. We had a great day with Juan and would definitely book with him again for a return trip to Mexico City.

Juan did a wonderful job from beginning to end. He was on time and very knowledgable. A few years ago I took the same trip with a group on the tourist bus. There is no comparison. With Juan we saw many more things where the buses didn't go as well as visiting all of the major sights. We also made stops at the Acolman Monastery and the famous Shrine at Guadalupe. The tourist buses would have missed those. The restaurant that Juan took us too was very good with live music. He has our highest recommendation.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hello Mark! I really appreciate your nice review. I´m glad to know that you had a richer experience this time! Hope you are doing great and wanting to come back to Mexico City someday again. Regards, Juan

Our 5 hour walking tour of Mexico City with Juan was great. He's an excellent "ambassador" of Mexico with a genuine enthusiasm for sharing the history and culture of his city and country. Juan's English is impeccable and idiomatic. His knowledge of history is extensive and he uses a great approach: e.g. overview using city maps and archeological models prior to taking us to the actual sites. The whole tour was well-paced; we loved exploring old Mexico City sites on foot with Juan. He's a sure bet!

We booked two tours with Juan, this one and "First Time in Mexico City." This was ideal. We could mix and match over the two days, and we could also tailor the sites to our interests (including a trip to the Mercado de San Juan for strange foods). In "Off the Beaten Path" we saw many Rivera murals in the Presidential Palace and the Ministry of Education. Must sees! Juan is knowledgeable and enthisiatic and we would use him again!

We booked two-days of tours with Juan, this one and "Off the Beaten Path." This was a perfect combination, as we were able to mix up each day's itineraries (when the Presidential Palace was closed for an event one day, we could go on the next) and we could make suggestions (like the Mercado de San Juan). We feel as if we got a great sense of Mexico City. Juan is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and flexible. We would be happy to use him again.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hello Kathleen. Thank you for such a nice review. It was a pleasure to show you the highlights of the city and to be part of your birthday celebration in Mexico City! I really enjoy meeting travelers like you who are eager to experience new dishes and flavors. The San Juan Market was a very interesting experience! Hope you and your husband are doing well. Regards, Juan
This tour is an absolute must if you're visiting CDMX. The pyramids are spectacular, and the tripss to the (little-visted) monastery and to basilica afterwards are an excellent complement for understanding the fusions that took place with the arrival of the Spanish, and the Spainards' deliberate use of pre-existing mythologies and symbolism in the conversion process. Juan is an amazingly knowledgeable guide, and his explanations added a great deal of richness and depth to the experience. Recommended!
Our tour to the Santuario el Rosario was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, which none of us will ever forget. We were lucky enough to go on a sunny day, and the millions of butterflies were active, fluttering around in the sun rays between the trees. Juan was a wonderful guide: easy going and fun to be with, very accomodating to our needs and wishes, and a great source of information. I can't recommend this tour, and this guide, enough!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hola Kim! I had a wonderful time with you, my "tocayo" Juan and your mom. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to show the Monarch Sanctuary, it was indeed an amazing experience. Saludos!
Juan gave us a wonderful tour of Xochimilco, San Angel and Coyoacan including visits to Diego Rivera Museum and Frida Kahlo Studio. Juan arrived on time and his vehicle was very comfortable. He spoke fluent English and had a strong background in the Arts. His friendly nature and sense of humour added to our day's enjoyment. We have recommend him as a guide to our friends visiting Mexico City.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hello Brian. It was a pleasure to show you and your wife's the highlights of the south of the city. I really appreciate your words and your support. It would be great to see your friends in Mexico City someday!

Our first day in Mexico City was fabulous, thanks to Juan! Not only was it a beautiful day, his positive and friendly attitude made our trip to Teotihuacan all the more enjoyable. He was knowledgeable and excited to show us all of Teotihuacan, St Augustine Convent, and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, providing us with many historical nuggets to bring home! I would recommend Juan for any tour that he offers. He takes great pride in his country and his job and provides a memorable tour!
Last week, I visited Mexico City for 24 hours. I had never been to Mexico before, nor do I speak any Spanish. Thankfully, Juan was able to plan the day around my limited schedule! I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Mexico City with him- I felt very comfortable travelling through the city. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, but is also an awesome person to spend the day with! Couldn't have asked for a better time in Mexico City.

This was our second tour with Juan. As I previously said, Juan is truly a great guy that is modest, knowledgeable about the city, fun to be around, and a great guide that I can not recommend highly enough. He was extremely prompt and flexible. He knows the area really well and was great with kids (we were 2 families with 8 kids below 11 years old with us!). Don't hesitate to use Juan when you are in Mexico City - you will definitely have an amazing tour with him!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Juan's knowledge is extensive. We enjoyed his company a lot. He was patient with our numerous questions. We highly recommend his tour.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi Raj. Thank you very much for your kind words. As I told you before, I really appreciate meeting people who are truly interested in Mexican history like you. I also learned a lot from you guys (I´m already looking for the book you recommended!) Best wishes, Juan

What a great time!!!! Juan is such a nice guy that really goes out of his way to make sure you are enjoying yourself. We were traveling as 2 families with 4 kids each! Juan was able to design our day to keep everyone happy and is just such a nice travel companion. He absolutely loves his city and knows so much about it. He is flexible and knowledgeable. I highly recommend using him for your future tours; you will definitely not be disappointed.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi TJ! Thank you very much for your kind words. I had a great experience with your lovely family. Hope to see your family and Aaron's back in Mexico City someday!

very interesting tour of neighborhoods in the southern part of the city, which we hadn't visited previously. Such a range - from the Inca-era canal system to Cortez' villa, to the Kahlo/Rivera heritage of more modern times. Juan is also very thoughtful about bathroom breaks, snack times and so forth. Best of all, he doesn't waste time in souvenir shops! Thank you, Juan.

Juan was an excellent guide, punctual and extremely knowledgeable on Mexican History. Comes highly recommended for private tours.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi Trevor. Thank you very much for your words. Hope you and Carla had a safe flight back home and are doing well. Happy New Year!

Juan led an exceptional tour for us. He is very "strategic" about the entry points for the park, helping to maximize the experience and minimize walking over vast empty areas between the pyramids. His sequencing of the three pyramids was perfect, as was the starting point of the often overlooked site museum. We were so inspired that we paid an extended visit to the Anthropology museum the next day.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hello Derek! Thank you for such a nice review. It is good to know the visit to the pyramids inspired you to explore one of the most fascinating museums in Mexico! Hope you are doing fine and wanting to come back someday to see other interesting archaeological sites. Saludos! Juan

The second Juan picked us up, it was more like hopping into an old friend's car, rather than embarking on a tour. We're so glad we found Juan for our first night (ever!) in Mexico City! We started at an authentic Pulqeuria we never would have found on our own, cheered with the locals at a legendary Lucha Libre fight, & had the tacos of a lifetime—all the while, Juan added amazing stories and interesting historical factoids. Don't think twice—Juan's your guy! Thanks Juan!! - Nikki, Garland, Tommy & KJ
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi Garland! Thank you very much for your words. I had a blast with you, Nikki, Tommy and KJ at the Arena Mexico. Hope to see you guys soon again! Saludos a todos.

Juan was very professional, punctual and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the archeological site of Teotihuacan and associated cultures. He provided a detailed explanation of the place and reinforced the discussions with the good use of graphic material. The long day tour was too short for us. Even though we visited Teotihuacan previously, we enjoyed this tour with Juan as it was our first one. We learned new things! Thanks.

Juan was very knowledgeable, friendly, and taught us so much about local indigenous history/ culture. This is the best way to explore the beauties of Mexico City - avoid the crowded buses. We recommend him highly and will definitely tour with again when we come to Mexico City next.

Juan was a great tour guide. His English was "spot on". He was open to some customization for our group of two that allowed us to see more than we would have on our own. This customization let us spend time where we wanted to and not where we didn't. We were never rushed or felt forced to hurry along to stay on schedule. Overall a great day spent touring the pyramids and other places. I would hire Juan again and will refer any friends who will be visiting Mexico City.
Juan was an excellent guide! A true pleasure being in his company. Throughout the tour, he added a lot of insides about his country and I really enjoyed spending time with him. Thanks for the experience!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi Birgit! I really appreciate your comments. It was a pleasure being with you in Taxco and Cacahuamilpa. Hope you are having a blast in Mexico!

Juan presented the amazing archeological sites of Teotihuacán in a way that was coordinated to make the most of our time. To see the site as it is today and then Juan explained to us what we were seeing. It is hard to imagine the ancient culture that built this but through his knowledgable guidance we were able to visualize it. The trip to Teotihuacán was also interesting as he explained to us the areas that we were traveling through. The tour included the pilgrimage site of Guadalupe.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi Allen! Hope this message finds you well. I'm glad you enjoyed the trip to the pyramids and the Shrine of Guadalupe. I really had a great time with you guys. Hope you had a safe flight back home!

Juan is an amazing tour guide with a lot of energy and knowledge that he is willing to share without sounding like a text book. He loves his city and it shows. We were exposed to so much and yet it left so much more to explore. It only encouraged us to return to places to experience them with more time on our own, but he manages to give you the basics of a centuries old history and does it with just the amount of information you need, and has more to share if you have the questions.
Juan was a very professional guide with wonderful spoken English. He was very accommodating and flexible with the stops on the tour, ensuring I tried local tacos and churros - amazing! We did a mixture of driving and walking which suited me. I loved the gardens of the Dolores Olmedo Museum and the grounds of Frida's family home. Overall, it was a wonderful day full of art, history and culture. Thank you Juan
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you so much for your kind words, Stephanie! I´m glad to know that you enjoyed the Frida and Diego tour (and the churros!) in the south of the city. Enjoy your stay in Mexico City!

Juan was an excellent guide, and a very pleasant person to spend the day with. He was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of Mexican history, culture, and current issues. His English was also excellent and easy to understand. Teotihuacan was fascinating, and the cathedral was beautiful. We had a great day, and I highly recommend Juan!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi Georgia! Thank you very much for your kind words. I had a great day too in Teotihuacan and Basilica. Hope you and your nephew are doing well!
