If there is such a thing as a perfect guide, Georges would have to be it. He showed my wife and myself around his country as a host entertains friends. He provided an extraordinary insight into Lebanon's ancient and recent history, and took us to places a visitor might normally never see. Georges has the sort of lively intelligence which makes him stimulating and enjoyable company - fun to be with! We can't wait to return, there is so much more to see.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: William and Nancy, I don't know what to say... Thank you so much for this amazingly sweet review. You treated me as a friend, you were very interested, abnormally generous, etc... thank YOU! I would love to see you soon, yalla! Let's plan your next visit :)
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Angela this is SO SWEET!!! Thanks for the review, and thanks for walking with me in some non-fancy parts of Beirut (i'm so happy you appreciated this part of the tour!). I'll tell Hassan the butcher that you say hi :) Hope to see you another time:D
Really fabulous walk around all the key sites of Tripoli including a delicious second breakfast (or brunch) with local specialities (mmm malaysieh). George's knowledge of and enthusiasm for his country is extraordinary. Batroun also more interesting than expected so worth a visit if you have time. Highly recommend George - he was our private guide for almost 2 weeks and he made our holiday extra special - we saw and understood so much more than if we had done this alone or just with a driver.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Caroline, Raul and Tobby, you were fabulous! Ok, you had the worst weather in Lebanese history, I couldn't even mention the "300 days of sun" that Lebanon brags about, but you were so enthusiastic, so generous, so interested, that you made these 2 weeks the warmest ever! Thanks a lot, I hope you enjoyed every second of your trip to Jordan. Hope to see you one day (but during summer time, please!)
Fabulous day from Beirut to Qadisha Valley. Cedars in the snow with beautiful teahouse lookout, visits to remote monasteries (and met some monks), amazing lunch with special organic 'mountain food' specific to the region and wonderful explanations of the history and food of the region. We will have to come back in warmer weather to hike with Georges who has really added so much value to our trip. Thanks so much!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks for that Caroline! We reached the Cedars right before it started snowing, I'll always remember the drive back under the snow :D I still owe you a hike, yalla, next summer? :)
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: thank youuuu!
My partner, 23 yr old son and I toured the Chouf Valley with Georges. We visited the Cedars (closed due to bad weather), Moukhtara, Beiteddine and Deir el Qamar. The trip was made more difficult with snow but somehow Georges found different roads to get us to our destinations. We had some lovely cups of tea/lunch in places we would have never found ourselves. The visits to the sites and towns were excellent and George's knowledge and explanations of the history of the area and each site is superb.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Caroline! Thank you so much for taking time to write all these nice reviews! I'm very happy you liked the Shouf region, and i'm glad we made it to the Moukhtara Palace! Cheers!
We started the tour of Baalbek eating delicious Street food that is particular to the region opposite the ruins, waiting for the rain to subside. Luckily the rain stopped when we toured the site and George's tour was excellent. Plenty of time to explore, take photos and lots of discussion. Niha is a beautiful Roman ruin in a pretty settling and worth visiting if you have the time. We decided to skip Furzol.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Caroline, I owe you a huge THANKS! You are the first travelers who asked for Niha, and I love those temples. But I should thank you for spotting the colored tongue of the carved lion, that was a discovery for me :D Keep being curious!
My partner, 23 yr old son and i visited Madjel Anjar and Anjar on a very wet and cold day! Both sites were fascinating but Madjel Anjar is for those really interested in the archaeology of the region and is a bit difficult to reach. Views to Syria are amazing. Anjar is spectacular and well worth visiting. Georges has extensive knowledge of both sites and showed us all their key features between downpours! He did an amazing job and we highly recommend him.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: "those who are really interested in the archaeology of the region" can't be more challenging than you, archaeologist! I loved touring you around in the Beqaa, in almost unknown sites for travelers like Majdel Anjar and Niha. You did a brilliant research before coming :D Thank you!
Fabulous tour to start our trip to Lebanon. Georges explained the recent history of this beautiful country well whilst showing us key battle lines, feeding us amazing Street food, introducing us to the locals (he knew everyone). His English is perfect. We went to places we would never visit on our own. He even found the National Museum would be closed in the afternoon so went with us first to visit this and then did the tour at no extra charge. George really goes the extra mile!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you for your kind review Caroline, it really means a lot to me to know that an archaeology enthusiast like you, a man so politically involved like Raul, and a math genius like Tobby enjoyed my little walk in a crazy city, under the rain and in times of revolution! Can't thank you enough for the 8 days you booked with me, for your generosity and for your constantly fun mood. Cheers Aussies!

Georges is an excellent guide and an outstanding narrator. Definitely he has enhanced our Beirut's experience to the highest limit. I recommend Georges to any seasoned traveller, particularly if he or she is interested in the recent Lebanon's history.

Georges was a great tour guide. We did the 3-hour walking tour and he was super flexible and accommodating my request to do the tour in the evening time. His narrative was refreshing subjective. He openly shared his comments and views of Lebanon's history and the civil war. I found it to be a welcome change from the otherwise sanitized road history
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Marc, thank you so much for your review! I hope to see you again, your stay was very short. I'm also happy that you could enjoy my tour after a long day in Baalbek, you are a tough traveller:D Cheers!!
We (a group of five) had a fantastic, informative and inspirational all-day introduction to Beirut and Lebanon covering history, politics, architecture, demography, everyday life and more. Highly recommended!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hey Karin!! You were epic!! Thanks a lot for the review, it means a lot :) I hope to see you soon, for some visits outside Beirut. Cheers!!

George was a wonderful tour guide! He's very thoughtful, experienced and funny! I had a busy day in Beirut learning all about modern politics as well as history and archaeology. I fully recommend him for any new visitor to Lebanon.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hello Maria! Thank you so so mich for your kind review. You were probably a bit unlucky with your tours after your visit to Beirut due to the protests, but i'm sure you'll come back! Thanks again!

George is a very engaging and knowledgeble guide. We never laughed so much, and learned so much simultanously. Highly recommend George if you want to meet the real Beirut. Kees Jan

I enjoyed every single second of my tour. George is a great guide, he knows a lot about his city and his country and enjoys showing you around and telling you lots of interesting facts and little stories about the city and its inhabitants. He brought me to places I would not have known about and pointed out places that I would just have walked by. He managed to make me feel that I want to come back to this country and city, see and experience more of Lebanon and Beirut! Great job!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hey Roland!! I can't thank you enough for your amazing review, merci merci merci! I really hope to see you soon in Lebanon, out of Beirut this time :) Keep travelling! Cheers

Georges is an excellent and experienced guide. He was responsive and helpful from the moment I first contacted him. My tour to the Qadisha valley/Cedars was a highlight of my trip. Throughout the day Geroges shared his encyclopedic knowledge of Lebanon and countless other topics. He eagerly answered all my questions. I really felt I was getting a personalized experience with stops and information you just won't have on a big tour company trip. Can't wait to book my next tour!

Georges is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his country and its history. It was a pleasure to hear him talk about the past and the present, and how they intertwine in Beirut's civil war happenings. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who wishes to understand better this beautiful and chaotic country.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hey Juliana!! Thabk you soooo much for your review! I'm very happy you liked the tour, and I wish you success in your own business, almighty coffee queen :) I still owe Andy and Cristina some beers, you really have to come back for that lol! Cheers and thanks again!

My wife and I did 4 tours with Georges and we can sum up our experience in one word "fantastic"! Georges was extremely knowledgeable, flexible, efficient and highly engaging. We learned a lot about the history of Lebanon both ancient and more current while enjoying his sense of humor. My wife wanted to shop so he assisted her in exploring all of the fashion shops while I relaxed in the hotel. I can not say enough good things about Georges. He started as our guide & finished as a member of our family!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Robert! I can't thank you enough for the review. I should be actually thanking you for treating me like a friend, and sharing so much with me. I hope you will get the chance to come back one day, with your grandchildren this time! On your 51st anniversary with Joe? ;) Cheers!!

There are two ways to visit Trípoli, with Georges, and all the rest ones. Visiting Trípoli with him is a very different experience, he knows very well the city and he will show you many hidden charming places, almost impossible to know, often places behind normal shops. Enjoy this unique experience!!!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hello Pelayo! I was so happy to know that it was actually your second visit to this gorgeous city, and that you enjoyed it again! Glad you loved its food too :)
