Keiko is a suberb guide and I highly recommend her. Keiko is so knowlegeable and able to communicate that knowledge in an easy manner. Keiko was flexible and immediately picked up on my interest based on a passing comment; she then led me to an area that few tourists see. We saw so much of Hakadote including a stop at a local consignment/second hand shop. Fascinating place - again not known to tourists. Keiko speaks excellent English and was a delightful companion for the day.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Cyndy, Thank you for your kind remarks on my guiding ! It was me who enjoyed showing you around my hometown. There are more to see in the suburban area of Hakodate, so I can show you more if you have a chance to return! Thank you again for sharing your precious time with me. Keiko
Keiko was an excellent guide. Besides taking me to the tourist sites such as the cable car she also took me where large groups of tourists would not get to. She was willing to do what I wanted which was as little walking as possible, as I was not feeling well, but I still saw a lot as she was able to drive me and tell me about many parts of the city.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Ruth, Thank you very much for your response! I am sorry you didn’t feel well on that day, but you were full of drive to see as much as possible, which made me motivated to show you around. Anyway, thank you again for visiting Hakodate, my beloved hometown. Wishing you happy days all the time! Keiko

Keiko was an absolute delight. She was extremely accommodating as we had to make a last minute change. We were on a cruise ship and due to weather we were not in port for as long as we expected. Yet she managed to show us a tremendous amount in a very short period of time. She gave us history, facts and a very personal perspective on Hakodate. The sights she took us to were great and included some that probably were not on most 'tours'. Her English was excellent and we would highly recommend her.
Keiko-san gave a wonderful tour which we enjoyed despite the wicked storm that occured on that day. Perhaps we enjoyed it even more because of the weather. Keiko is a knowledgeable guide, all her life local, Hakodate native, which means she goes far beyond the book narrative. Speaking perfect literary English, she gave us historical and cultural flavor, as well as a glimpse into the Japanese life with stories from her own and family life. Our 4 year old enjoyed the tour designes for his interests too.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Oh,thank you SO much for a wonderful response! I feel honored to hear that.It was me who enjoyed being with a heart-felt family and showing you gorgeous autumnal foliage at the park. Though the weather wasn’t good at all, I was able to enjoy the tour listening to your talks with your son. He is blessed with ideal parents! I was very much impressed by you and your husband.

My husband and I enjoyed our tour with Keiko and would recommend this tour. Prior to our arrival Keiko discovered that one of the beautiful Buddhist temples that normally is closed to visitors was having a two day festival. She took us there and it was a highlight of our visit!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Eileen & Jay, Thank you very much for your wonderful raring! Because of you and a beautiful weather, I myself enjoyed showing you around the city. It was indeed fortunate that the Koryui Temple had a festival, which is held only once a year. Hakodate was chosen No 1 City (the most attractive city in Japan) again two days ago. The second was Kyoto and the thirsd one was Sapporo. We have a lot more to see in Hakodate and in all Hokkaido! I do hope you could come back again some time in future.
Keiko speaks & writes excellent English, & was very patient with my 73 year old mother. At the morning market, she was able to guide us to the shops we want & even commented where some items would be cheaper in a supermarket. Enjoyed Keiko's sharing of Hakodate's history. Lunch was at a katsu (pork cutlet) place at my mother's request, which was delicious. Despite the last minute booking, Keiko took the time to create our itinerary with colored printouts. Enjoyed the local supermarket trip!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Sharon, Thank you very much for your rating. It was me that enjoyed the tour, because I’ve wanted to meet you in person after the long exchange of mails! Sorry for the low temperature, but I was relieved we didn’t have rain. Have you completely recovered from car sick? Thank you again for coming over to Hakodate! Best wishes, Keiko
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Mario, Thank you for your rating! It was nice to meet you. Hope you have enjoyed your trip in Japan. All the best, Keiko
Our tour with Keiko was fantastic! It was my first experience hiring a private tour guide and I couldn't be happier. We got a great intro to Hakodate and learned so much about the area! Keiko was a wealth of information and very pleasant company as we covered a lot of ground.
