Ken was very knowledgeable and flexible. My husband and I really appreciated our one-on-one tour, which included visiting Shibuya crossing, Tsukiji fish market, Ahkibara, and Senjosi Temple. Ken also went above and beyond showing us a few nearby, local attractions as we traveled to and from our original itinerary---and he also showed us where we could do our laundry (a bit of an odd request, but he was happy to help).

This was one of the best tours we have ever had. Kens help in navigating the city, complexity of the Tokyo subway system is phenomenal. Since our tour, we have been successful in touring many local spots on our own with great ease and comfort. Thanks to Ken for making our first trip to Tokyo amazing!!!!

My family and I took a tour with Ken T last Tuesday in Tokyo. He was great - 5 Stars! Ken helped us get our Japan Rail passes, figure out the subway, and then took us on a tour of Asakusa, which included a fabulous lunch. Highly recommend for first-timers coming to the city. Thanks so much!

Ken was a very good guide! He knew a lot about Tokyo and we visited many places around the city in one day. Being a student of Architecture, Ken was able to show us many of the notable works of Japanese architects on top of visiting many of the famous sites. His knowledge was very surprising and welcome. Thank you Ken! Arigato!

Ken was awesome! He took us to all the spots on the itinerary and when there were areas of interest of us nearby (Pokemon store, BIC store) he took us there as well. It was all very personalized. He patiently answered all our questions. When the tour ended he walked us to the platform to ensure that this was the train we take back to the hotel. My daughter and I highly recommend Ken. Best tour guide ever.

Ken did a great job taking our family (2 adults and 2 boys ages 5 and 7) on a tour of the fish markets, a pet cafe, and the Pokemon Super Store. He guided us through the subway during rush hour and was patient when the little ones complained about some walking. His English and knowledge of the city is excellent.
Ken's guidance means our family can now confidently use the Tokyo"s rail and subway system. We had a fantastic first day in Tokyo, with Ken explaining Tokyo's transport history while showing us some famous sites. I would recomend this tour to all families visiting Tokyo who want a stress free introduction to the city. Ken's help booking the bullet trains to/from Iiyama (for the skiing part of our holiday) has made this a stress free holiday.
Ken was waiting for us at the hotel. He listened to our needs and tailored the tour accordingly. He showed us the logistics of buying travel card and how to top it up. He helped us to organize our bullet train tickets. He is fluent in English and a joy to share the day with. We saw so much in one day. We would highly recommend Ken and suggest a tour on your first day to help navigate the rest of your stay in wonderful Tokyo.

I have done a lot of traveling in my life, but the transportation system in Tokyo was stressing me out just looking at the train and subway maps. That's why I hired Ken. He spent the entire day showing us the easiest ways to use both the trains and subways in Tokyo. I had a list of places we wanted to visit during our stay in Tokyo and he patiently showed us everything on the list. The next 2 days in Tokyo were stress free, thanks to Ken. Don't hesitate to hire Ken.
Wow! Our first day in Tokyo and Ken was fantastic. He met us at our apartment guided us to the JR Station and showed us how to purchase our transport card. He then explained how the JR trains and subway worked. What a great way to save time and effort. Ken spent 5 hrs showing us Shinjuku, Shibyu, Harajuku and Akihabara including an amazing shrine and many famous sites including the Shibuya crossing and Takeshita-dori. He also took us to a fantastic Ramen place for lunch in Shibuya. Awesome tour!!

We had a wonderful experience touring Tokyo with Ken! He was easy to communicate with over email, helped us see all the sites on our list and more, and was extremely patient with our jet-lagged 4-year old kids. One of the best things about having a local guide is getting insight into Japanese culture. Ken was a wealth of knowledge and we learned a lot from talking with him. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Tokyo tour guide, especially those with kids.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Ken. He was waiting at our hotel ahead of time and was quick to work out what interested our family. Ken spoke excellent English and was quick to assist wherever necessary. Ken knows the right places to eat, also ... we had an amazing Japanese lunch with the largest prawns we've ever seen At the end of the day, Ken made sure we got back to our hotel safely. We highly recommend Ken to any traveller to Tokyo. He has excellent knowledge of Tokyo's history and culture.

Ken T proved Tokyo can be enjoyed despite torrential rain taking maximum advantage of the subways and interior malls. Ken also convinced us to have confidence to use the subway system on our own, without a guide. Ken is full of interesting information about Japanese culture, Tokyo generally and interesting architecture. Ken is easy to converse with in fluent English.

Ken was an excellent guide. This tour was a great value. Not only did we learn about Japanese history and culture but ken was extremely knowlegable about architecture and the mechanics of the transit system. He was very patient in teaching us the metro system which, although similar to Paris, chicago and NYC, differs is some important ways because of the public and private nature of the system. We applied that knowledge during the rest of our stay in Tokyo. Thank you Ken.
Great. As per previous comment
What a way to see Tokyo. Ken was flexible, professional, knowledgeable, answered all our questions, new his subject and new every nook and cranny of this great city. We went to parts of Tokyo that tourists don't see and this was truly a highlight of our two day sojourn. Well done Ken we were sorry to leave you.
It was a great experience with Ken Tanaka who was fantastic. We learnt many things and not to mention how to use the train around Tokyo. Ken was very accommodating, polite and friendly. We wanted to get few things while in Tokyo and Ken took us to the places to get them which was very helpful. My kids were very happy to get their sumikko gurashi in one spot. Highly recommended his service. Thank you, Ken!
KEN was absolutely fantastic ! His tour was very informative, he was highly adaptive, provided us with many usefull tips, he explained to us so many things we wanted to know about the Japanese lifestyle, economy and history ! He took us to a quaint restaurant made for locals where everything was written in Japanese and helped us all the way throughout. We felt very at ease and secure in this huge city as his knowledge and care were brilliant. We highly recommend Ken for all your Tokyo tours !

Ken was friendly, easy-going and perfect English speaking guide. We enjoyed the fish market, Yasukuni Shrine and Japanese Zero plane, and festival with a traditional dance. He took us to a Ramen restaurant that worked with my son's food allergies, and was delicious. Helped us navigate the metro and showed us places we wanted to visit later on. He emailed me several times before the trip to arrange the day, and after tour with info on another excursion. We never felt rushed. Wish we could tour again!

Ken was a great guide! He communicated with us prior to the tour and helped us figure out a good itinerary for the day. He was also flexible and we made changes through the day. He was able to teach how to get around on public transportation, which was very helpful for the rest of the stay! My kids (age 9 and 13) felt like they got to see all of the things on their wish list for the day. He was very patient and helped them with their shopping experiences. It was the perfect introduction to Tokyo!
We had a great day with Ken. He helped us learn how to use the subway system and JR lines. He took us to the main areas of Tokyo and waited patiently whilst my children checked out arcades and gatchepon games. The visit to the Edo-Tokyo museum was the highlight for me. Ken guided us through the main exhibition which was fantastic.

Ken met us at our hotel our first day in Tokyo. We are now experts at using the metro, the shinkansen and local trains. He took us to the ticket office and helped us book the long distance trains for our three weeks. He showed us how to read the metro map and all the signs at the stations and how to find the right line, platform and exit. He took us to all the places we were going to visit during our stay and a few more. Highly recommended.
Ken's tour of the old and new architecture of the Harajuku area was extremely interesting and informative. He is very knowledgeable both about the area and its buildings, while being entertaining and responsive to our questions. If you are interested in the built environment, this is the tour for you.
While we did not do the architecture tour, Ken was extremely flexible and gave us a wonderful tour of different parts of Tokyo. He is very well informed on Tokyo and Japan. His English is excellent. He is a good listener and was able to show us what we wanted to see, as well as make numerous other suggestions.

Ken was just great! Very good English skills, on time and flexible to meet our tour requirements - He was really valuable to us showing Tokyo around given our limited time availability. Could not be better!

Ken was great and highly knowledgeable of Tokyo. We moved around by public transport which allowed us to see a lot in one day. Very nice man and also very easy to understand. We highly recommend him.
Ken met us and farewelled us at the apartment we stayed in so we were quickly able to orientate ourselves. It was a relief to follow Ken around on Tokyo's rabbit warren subway and he gave us tips about tickets etc which helped us for the rest of our trip. Ken showed us all the sights we wanted to see and more. Ken was polite, knowledgable, has perfect English and a great sense of humour. I would thoroughly recommend Ken as a guide, particularly when you first arrive.

Ken is great! He listens to all of you, and what we hoped to do, and we did it. All of it! Even some of the things that we didn't ask to do, just mentioned Ken listened, and made sure of. We did this on our first day, and it was a total win. It helped to set up for the rest of our trip. Ken helped explain and give advice for our entire trip. Highly recommend this experience.
Thanks so much to Ken for a great day in a very wet Tokyo!! I think we went through plans A to Z as the rain got heavier and the jet lag caught up on two small children. But Ken answered all our questions with great patience. During the day he understood more and more of what we were interested in and added those surprises in. A lovely way to see the city and get to learn more about Tokyo. Highly recommend Ken!
We really enjoyed our day with Ken. He helped us become familiar with the Tokyo train systems and gave us a lot of useful tips for getting around. With Ken we were able to see so much more than if we were trying to find our own way around. We started with a visit to Tokyo Skytree and then embarked on a day filled with amazing cherry blossoms around the Imperial Palace and at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, before exploring a number of city suburbs. Ken really help us get our bearings in Tokyo.

5 stars! Ken is knowledgeable, patient, flexible and accommodating. With Ken's guidance we saw more in 4 hours than we could have in 4 days on our own. I highly recommend Ken!
Ken was great! Superb English. He managed to keep 2 rowdy boys ( 8 & 10) interested and entertained. He was calm and organised. We started with the Tsukiji fish market then to the Shinjuku Gardens to see the Sakura which were blooming everywhere in the garden. My local friends didn't even know they had started blooming yet as we hadn't seen any other Sakura around town! So thanks Ken for that amazing photo op! He helped us navigate the subway and even brought us to our lunch with friends afterwards.

Ken is fabulous. Informative, fun and adaptable.
Ken did a fantastic job taking my husband and I + 3 girls around Tokyo yesterday morning. We got to understand and see things we wouldn't have seen if we had just been wondering the streets alone. Thank you for a fantastic day....we loved it so much we are doing another tour tomorrow!

Excellent, well informed and entertaining. A great way to efficiently see Tokyo (or any other strange city) as our guide's knowledge made for a logical and well thought out route some of this enormous city's main sights. Recommend to anyone, especially our guide Ken.
We had a wonderful day with Ken, who catered the tour to suit our family which included 3 children (ages 8,10,12). Ken was very flexible and managed to squeeze everything we wanted to see into the day. No waiting time at all! Ken's English is excellent and he really went the extra mile - even staying with us after to tour was supposed to have finished to help us book train tickets for the following day. Thanks Ken!
