This was a great tour to get me ready to go out on my own. We mostly travelled by bus and walked a lot. We also went to the train station to locate key areas for my own trip the next day. Kevin was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to during my tour. I usually skip museums but his knowledge of the history of his country and its people made the museum tour well worth taking. I highly recommend him and he would likely be good on a field trip as he is a good walker.

Our tour in Taipei was interesting and memorable, thanks to our tour guide Kevin. He ensures that we keep to our schedule from start of the tour until dropping us back at the airport. He is very attentive and considerate, well informed about his country. Even though we did not get to see everything that is planned due to a short lay over, we are still satisfied and content of the tour given by Kevin. I highly recommend Kevin to all those who wants to visit Taiwan.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I did enjoy the tour with Cherryl and her mother. They are very talkative and friendly.

I have used tour guides in more than 100 cities and countries around the world. Kevin was the best guide I've ever used and there have been some other very good ones. His English is flawless, his knowledge is vast, his historical perspective unequaled, he's a stunning conversationalist with an enthusiasm that doesn't end. It was a fantastic day long tour.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I am happy to spend whole day with Jason and his partner. We stroll around Taipei by public transport and explore some interesting places of this bustling city. We not only travel but engage in lots of conversation . It is one of the most memorable tour experience for me .

Kevin was great! I flew into TPE in the morning, and he picked me up from the airport, showed me around for the day and then dropped me back at TPE for my evening flight out. He rents a car for the day, and it was comfortable. He knew exactly where to park at the different locations, so we didn't waste any time looking. He was well versed in the culture, economics and government of Taiwan. He went out of his way to help me make a few urgent international phone calls. I would HIGHLY recommend him!

Kevin is one the very best guides we have ever had, and we've been pretty much around the world. He is personable with an easygoing enthusiasm, and he seemed to know everything there is to know about Taipei. Any building, he seemed to know the architect; he not only showed us temples, he explained the place of Taoism & Buddhism in people's lives. We saw everything we hoped to see--and it was a long list--yet he got us back to the ship early! We were supremely happy with Kevin and you will be, too.

Kevin is a detail-oriented, friendly and highly adaptable guide. There are so many dimensions to his skillset that we are skimming the high points in this review for brevity. Additionally, he was timely, an excellent communicator, with outstanding english and the keen ability to tailor the depths of his insights to the interests abd sophistication of his clients. We were so impresaed and hope to have the opportunity to work with him again.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Lisa , Paul and Neil are very friendly and easy going . The two day for in Taipei is too short to fell their hospitality . We did few interesting spots and interesting bike tour , tea tasting , for me , the tour itself is a great experience especially with them .

The scheduled guide had a last minute family emergency and so a substitute was provided. The substitute was knwledgable about getting around, but could use more training in what sights were seen. For a substitute, he did a reasonable job, and we understood his difficulties.

TOURSBYLOCALS RESPONSE: We take substitutions very seriously even when they are an emergency. A refund was provided to Kenn for the inconvenience.

I would not have said there were enough interesting things in Taipei for it to become a tourist destination - wow, did Kevin change my mind on this! Kevin was professional, friendly, well-prepared and flexible - his insider's tour of Taipei not only highlighted the must-see's (Chaing Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Maokong mountain), but also introduced us to areas we'd never imagined - the oldest letterpress foundry in Taiwan, riding bicycles along the river, discovering the best soup-dumplings in Taipei! great!

Kevin was an absolute gentleman and professional. His passion and dedication stands out as seen during our whole trip. He speaks with such enthusiasm with regards to the places on the itinerary. He, as most locals, is friendly and humble. We find him as a great companion and in him, we found a friend. Kudos to Kevin for the hospitality and showing us Taiwan. Given an opportunity, we would request for his service again.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Fred and Adrain are nice people from Malaysia , we have lots of fun during 5-day trip . I am also expecting your visit agin next year . There are still many places to go in Taiwan .

I was a female tourist touring on my own, while my husband was at a conference in Taipei. I found TBL's service very professional. As for my guide Kevin, well...he was simply brilliant. He customised the tour just for me. While I was touring with him, it felt that I was being shown around by a good friend. He was also kind enough to make the time for a short tour with my husband too at the end of his conference. If anyone out there is thinking of going to Taipei & need a guide- Kevin is your man!

Kevin made our day in Taipei one of the best days of our Asian Tour. He was fun, very knowledgeable and very accommodating. He had a plan to show us as much as possible including a fabulous lunch at a famous restaurant known for the dim sum. At the palace museum he knew how to pick out the highlights and move us around the museum . When we left Kevin at the dock we felt that we made a friend and had a wonderful day. We would highly recommend Kevin.

Kevin was very professional, helpful, friendly and always doing his best in guiding the personal Taipei tour during the two days. He was also very accommodative in attending to my tour flexibility and meeting my requests. I really enjoyed the cuisines he recommended apart from getting the new year's clothes at Wufenpu especially. I was thankful that he was willing to carry the many clothes which I bought. And of course, riding on the bicycle in the middle of Taipei city was pleasantly surprising.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Peter is such a friendly and easy-talking friend. We had lots of fun during two days in Taipei. For me, the friendship is the best tips and it is a great trip for me as well.
