Insightful and funny! A wonderful guide who really knew his city! Recommend without hesitation!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: How nice to hear from you. Copenhagen was nice for January, and it was a nice day for both teenagers and grownups. It adds some with such a family group.

Paul was an outstanding guide and provided us with a fabulous insight into the city of Copenhagen. He took us through side streets that allowed us a chance to feel how people of Denmark live. We had a great tour with Paul. He is very knowledgeable about the city and history in general. He was very easy to work with and guided us around to many different sites and we did not see much that was not interesting. His task was a bit difficult with us as we arrived on December 23 and most things are closed for two days for Christmas, the 24th and 25th. But he did give us a great suggestion for the 24th and we took a train to the Fredericksbourg Castle.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi and thanks. I'm sorry the city was pretty much closing down as you got here. Paul.

My wife and I had the pleasure of joining Paul on his well prepared "Jewish Experience tour". Paul did lots of preparation in creating this itinerary, including a private visit to the 19th century synagogue still in use, including a personal discussion with its current cantor. We also visited the Jewish museum and Paul supplemented the visits with valuable and interesting information about the history of the Jewish experience in Copenhagen. Paul was a knowledgeable, interested and interesting speaker.

Paul was very helpful with our diverse group. We were held up at lunch with very slow service and had to delete one venue for which we did not have time, but the group needed a rest and seemed satisfied. Paul was also very patient with the lunch bill which had to be divided among the four couples. He was quick to get us a taxi at the end when the bus was not on time and we returned to our ship on time. We particularly appreciated his knowledge of the Jewish sites and pacing of the tour.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you. It was a nice tour - with very interesting conversation too. A shame we were held up. I liked the original tour idea very much also. But of course you got to respect the group pace and the comfort of folks. Maybe I should have respected the pace of the restaurant staff a little less!

Paul took us on an excellent walking-ferry tour. No car, but we didn't need one, The city is compact enough to walk or take a ferry over a longer distance. He imparted fascinating details about what we saw and added much personal background information that touched us deeply. We invited him to have lunch with us and enjoyed luscious forms of herring that we never would have tried. Paul talked all through our time together, which we really appreciate. We learned a lot throughout an active, fascinating day.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much , I enjoyed the tour too - and "velbekomme" regarding the herring ("bon appetit" in Danish.

This was the only day it rained - it poured and we were drenched as Paul had no car, but we persevered. Paul was a good guide. He teaches guiding in the off season. We walked in the rain for 5 hours. The highlight was the Mitzvok Museum. Paul told great stories.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank's for that - it was fun dodging the rain, and I remember it at a good tour as well, thank you.

Paul was a very knowledgeable guide. He was kind and knew and shared all about the culture of the Danes as well as their relationship with the Jewish people - particularly during WWII. We truly enjoyed his company and appreciated the wonderful day we spent with him!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much for your good company and your energy, after a long flight in a sunny and breezy Copenhagen. I was much inspired by your observations also, about life here and in the US. All the best to both of you and your family!
