The trip to the Wenchi Crater Lake was very pleasant and our guide Nurelegn was very knowledgeable and nice. I surely recommend him.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you Very Much Mrs. Bufalari . Extend My Thanks and best wishs to Evry one !
Our only complaint is regarding the locals in the area who try to extract money from tourists. Nurelegn was very good in handling these issues, but the locals would be aggressive when he was out of sight and ask for "extra" tips and complain that any offered weren't as much as "others" would give.

Wenchi is beautiful and we enjoyed it. Our daughter's favorite part of our trip was riding the horse on the mountain. Nurelegn is an excellent guide. Some notes on this particular tour: If you are staying on the east side of Addis, the ride each way is at least 4 hours. Take 2 days and stay the night. You will be driving on a bumpy, bad road right on the edge of a huge cliff for about 20 minutes which was scary. You need to be in quite good shape to do the hike if you are not used to the altitude.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you Very Much Mrs. Oetken. I Had Great time with you and your Familly : I am Glad your Kihana loved the Horse Riding . I Totally Agree with you it is Much Better to spend 2 days with additional activities/sight seen . Your Program didn't allow you to do so. I wish to Meet you and your Family In Ethiopia again. Please Extend My best to all.

This was a great day trip outside of Addis. Nurelegn is a gracious host who is communicative and very knowledgeable about his city and country. Wenchi is a beautiful area and after a few days in the city, spending some quite time on the lake and at the monastery was refreshing. While we did drive to the location in a 4-wheel drive equipped van, the roads can be quite bumpy getting in and out of the crater lake.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I am Thankful to Mrs. & Mr Vlajic for a great day with them in the crater benefiting the local community. we payed entrance fee, Rent Boat and hired a horse which benefit directly the local people .they are organised by German NGO called GTZ. we are very hopeful soon our government change that last bumpy road into concrete asphalt and make the Trip shorter and smoother. thank you so much.
