Jim showed us his Ireland...he was on time, pleasant and willing to share what he knew of the area. His knowledge was extensive and he was always professional. He knew how to tailor the trip to what we wanted to see and even with winter hours we were able to see so much!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: thank you so much (i still feel i owe you a castle !!) i have your map of the trip i will post it to you if you wish please let me know thank you again wee Jim Seamus og

We asked James to guide us from Cobh, Ireland to Dublin, Ireland. This area of "The Republic of Ireland" is not his area of knowledge. I would limit his tours to Belfast and Northern Ireland. I believe James can do better than he did. I don't believe he is a "Blue Badge" licensed tour guide for Northern Ireland. I would believe your Tour Guides should be licensed if that area requires it. We want you to pay James the money he is due. (Richard Liddle - London guide) is a terrific guide.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Sir thank you i would have scored it a lot lower however fairness in the case of this tour is a two way process comparing like with like - the company on the tour, the distance traveled, the duration, route taken To go on holiday in Ireland you must first leave London England -or even the Republic of Texas my tours take you off all motorways and paying motor way road tolls was a first for me I will of course take your comments and act on them accordingly

TOURSBYLOCALS RESPONSE: We have asked James to respond to Mr. Roach's concerns.

Wee Jim gave a great pesonalized tour meeting our specifications ... times, things to see, stories, back roads, good information, and found us great music. Found him very down to earth and wonderful personality. Was NOT happy with the b&b in Derry as considered it very expensive (100 pounds). Had paid 50 pounds per night in Orkney for much more. Prefer to stay in b&b over hotels. Wonderful way to see your lovely country!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Glad you both got back safe and sound please wish john a happy birthday for me in September i am sorry the b&b in Derry disappointed i will look at others for a choice in the future. laurie it was good to meet you both and of course if i visit doggy dos and doggy donts vancover i will look you guys up lol

TOURSBYLOCALS RESPONSE: The B and B was recommended by Jim and booked separately by the travellers, not through ToursByLocals.

We had a wonderful tour with Jim. He knew the history and geography of the areas we visited. Touring with someone like Jim allowed us to see areas of Northern Ireland that we would never had seen on our own. We had the comfort of relaxing and enjoying the scenery while we were learning about Ireland's past and present. Jim was always on time picking us up, gave us great restaurants to eat at and plenty of photo stops. It was an excellent way to tour Ireland and would recommend it to others at home.
