This was our fourth tour with Dino. Every day he has added more information about Rome's history. With all of his tours he has a planned approach and usually has some kind of surprise near the end. He did the same with Ostia. It also turns out that Dino is very patient. We were fascinated with Ostia and he managed to give all the information and still give us time to wander. Our four tours with Dino were a great success.
Second tour with Dino. He is extremely well organized and thorough. Dino brought the ancient port of Ostia to life for us. I wish he would be available when we come back in June/18. Well done Dino!

We had an extraordinary tour of Ostia today with our extraordinary guide Dino! What an AMAZING hidden treasure! Touring Ostia was like stepping WAY back in time. And yet Dino made it so personal, so accessible, a very special experience. I would recommend anyone visiting Rome to take the time to visit Ostia. My only concern is that Ostia is not better protected (so many lovely mosaics left vulnerable to wear and weather) and it's not better marketed. Ostia is truly a national, and a world treasure!! 10/10

Ostia Antiqua is amazing (see Rick Steves) but would be very challenging to navigate on your own. (We took 8 of Dino's tours and thoroughly enjoyed each of them. Dino's knowledge of history and art is encyclopedic. Tours have a relatively fast pace and you cover the important sites more efficiently than you could possibly do on your own. Dino is pleasant, accommodating and speaks excellent English. And he knows where to find the bathrooms.) We recommend Dino without reservation.

Book this tour guide! He is amazing. Dino was prompt, fun and courteous. He'd thought of everything to make the day special and could answer anything that I could possibly think to ask. Amazing knowledge. The tour to Ancient Ostia is FASCINATING and not to be missed. I wish we could have spent all day there. Even on the way to the train station, Dino stopped into a church, pointing out things I should see. Going to Ancient Ostia gives a great perspective and understanding of Rome. Thank you, Dino!
