Fernando gave us a wonderful private water taxi tour to some of the less visited islands. It was fascinating to see small farms being cultivated - their artichokes are famous - providing some tasty produce for Venice - 0 kilometre food sources! Fernando also provided us with knowledgable background on the beautiful island of Torcello, with the original Cipriani's, small plot faming, vegetation lined canals, remnants of Roman occupation, and the famous church with its glittering Byzantine mosaics: perfect!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Ciao Rob&Robyn, it was a special day indeed, the fog fading away on the green fields encompassed by the lagoon, we could'nt climb the bell tower so here you get a reason to get back again to Torcello. Has been great meeting you, all the best

Fernando planned a great day for us. He is very personable. We loved going to Murano and seeing the glass blowing. The church was also amazing.

A fantastic tour of a fantastic area by a fantastic guide. Fernando was great! He arranged and took care of everything including booking of the private water taxi. His knowledge of the the culture, history, anthropology and ecology of Venice in second to none. No doubt this tour costs more than most but it was such a relaxing, informative and fun time we feel it was worth every euro cent. We would not hesitate to book Fernando for this tour or any other that he provides. -Lou, Helen and Dan
