We had a wonderful day with Maurizio. After deciding our preferences for the meal, he drove us to the chaotic Vego market where we proceeded to buy the ingredients. He explained fruit and vegetables we saw that we were not familiar with. We then drove to his house with Maurizio explaining many aspects of Chilean life. We cooked and ate a delicious meal with matching wine. It is always a privilege to visit a family home when travelling, and with the cooking and recipes we greatly enjoyed our day.

Not only does Mauricio have a deep and mature understanding of food and the ideals of food connected with culture and human interaction he, through being a tourist guide in the locality for many years, was able to impart detailed Chilean history along the way. A very good afternoon and a pleasure to exchange food ideas with him.

This review is long overdue. We were Mauricio's first clients to experience the Chilean Cooking Experience. His exuberance for Chilean wine and food just oozes out from every dimension of his being. It was charming to have part of the experience from his home. Venturing out to the very local vegetable market and seafood market was an experience in itself prior to the preparation of our food. It was a great adventure and if ever I go back to Santiago, we would do it again just to spend time with Mauricio!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Dear Phyllis, There was my pleasure to meet you and my home will be always open for yoy. Sincerely yours, Mauricio
