Fernando led us on a fabulous tour to the furthest area of Venice including a terrific boatyard tour. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable and informative. And he is great fun to be with. Clearly one of the best tour guides we have had anywhere!!

What a nice day spent with Fernando. We met him in San Marco, and shortly after we left the chaos of the area around the square, we walking thru the beautiful and quite local neighborhoods of the REAL Venice. We took the best photos of the whole trip while Fernando told us all kinds of interesting facts about stories about the different areas. What a treat. Fernando's knowledge of the area is unparalleled. By far the best way to see Venice!

Tour: #34190, Venice Off the Beaten Track with Gondola Yard and Gran Canal ride, Venice, Veneto, Italy
Date: Sep 24/14

Off the Beaten Track with Fernando is a good way to see a different Venice. No tourists and we enjoyed the portion of the tour by water taxi on the back canals. Lots of walking but that just makes you more hungry and/or thirsty for all the wonderful food and drink Venice has to offer. Grazie mille Fernando!

Fernando showed us the Venice the tourists never see. It was very enlightening and enjoyable. Although we missed communicated our rendezvous, and got a late start. Fernando was more than willing to make up the time for us. We learned to love all of old Venice.

Excellent tour of backstreet Venice. Be prepared to walk. Fernando was very knowledgeable and friendly. We missed the Gondola factory due to closure but we thoroughly enjoyed our walk. Experienced things that we have missed in Venice on previous 2 stays. Thanks to Fernando!

Having had the opportunity to travel throughout almost 40 different countries, I can honestly say that Fernando is the most professional tour guide I have ever had. His knowledge of art, history, and architecture is unsurpassed. During this tour, Fernando will show you areas of Venice seldom seen by tourists. A true pleasure! I highly recommend this tour.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: This was my faourite Frank, away from the crowds of san Marco and Rialto. All the best to you and Ida, hugs Fernando

Tour: #34190, Venice Off the Beaten Track - Castello, Venice, Veneto, Italy

Fantastic tour with a superb guide! After you've seen the main tourist sites, its time to see the real Venice. The "Off the Beaten Track" tour took us to sites seldom seen by tourists, including one of the only gondola workshops, a spectacular Dominican church, and campo after campo free from the hoards of tourists in the San Marco/Rialto area. Our guide Fernando is a great resource and tailored his information to what we really wanted to know and see -- the real Venice. I highly recommend this tour!
