Tomoko is a very friendly and knowlegeable guide and what we like about her especially is that, if she doesn't have an answer to your question, she immediately goes on-line to find you an answer or a translation. She's also flexible and fitted in with what we wanted to do and gave us ideas on interesting alternatives within a given timeframe. Very self-motivated and a good sense of humour too which are both welcomed in somebody with whom you're going to spend a day. We had fun! Thank you Tomoko.

Tomoko is a knowledgable, helpful, friendly guide. She was flexible and able to change our itinerary during the day, as we found we spent longer in some places than we had expected. Tomoko's local knowledge meant that she took us to the tourist sites and to a wonderful lacquer workshop where we lacquered cups and trays to take home, local shops for old kimono, knives, and clothing, and a delicious lunch at a noodle house. I recommend Tomoko to other English-speaking travellers.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi. Sally, I am grad you enjoy the day in Kyoto. I enjoyed a lot with you and with your family. You will remember about Kyoto when you use your workshop arts. Enjoy rest of days in Japan. Tomoko

A great day and an excellent tour. We decided to go with Tomo's proposed Itinerary and It proved to be perfect for us. She was very flexible and willing to adjust any part of the itinerary to meet Our needs. She speaks excellent English and is a very personable individual. We have learnt so much about the sights we visited; the Japenese culture and Japenese culinary delights. We would have no hesitation in recommending Tomo to our friends and family should they visit.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you, Richard !! It was great day to hike up Mt. Inari at Fushimi Inari shrine. I enjoyed the the time with you.
We had booked two tours with Tomoko (1 and 1/2 day). They were very interesting and informative. Tomo is a good guide, very friendly, dedicated and gave us a lot of information about all visited sightseeing places and the history of Kyoto. She's really care about our wishes and has designed the tour accordingly - we had an extensive mail traffic bevor our journey :) Besides English, she also speaks a comprehensible German. We have enjoyed the tour and had many fun with Tomo. We recommend she in any case.

Tomo was a very professional and knowledgeable guide of Kyoto who adjusted the tour schedule effectively to meet our needs. We covered a lot of ground...25,000 Fitbit steps in fact...in 8 hours that broadened our understanding of this amazing, well preserved city. John, Beth & Duncan
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks for review!! I'm glad you enjoyed in Kyoto. It was hot day but we walked a lot including monkey mountain!! Thanks again, John, Beth & Duncan !! Tomoko

We had a short stop in Kyoto and it was made so much better by Tomo! Tomo's local knowledge of the area, especially the public transit system, was invaluable. In fact, we commented the next day that we wished we had booked her for the entire trip! Tomo shared information about the historic sites we visited as well as information about the plants, which was of great interest to us. And the restaurants Tomo picked were wonderful. I'm sure Kyoto will be a highlight of our trip thanks to Tomo.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi. Lora, Thanks for great comment! I'm also enjoy a lot with you :) Beautiful Bamboo forest and Nijo castle were beautiful. I'm happy you enjoyed Yakiniku dinner along Kano river. Thank you for inviting. Enjoy your rest of days in Japan!! Tomo
