We spent a splendid 14 hours with Birkir. We saw waterfalls, a glacier, and a volcano. He even added a stop for us, ... a soak in the secret lagoon. This was such a special treat after much walking and climbing. He then introduced us to Icelandic delicacies, fermented shark, and two types of dried fish. One is eaten with butter spread on it. Of course we washed it down with Black Death. Birkir was very knowledgeable and informative. He also dropped us off in Reykjavik at his favorite restaurant.
