Great tour. We knew we were getting the volcano but there were some stops along the way that made the tour even more interesting. Then we had a great lunch on the way back from the volcano which was spectacular. The volcano was cool but some of the Little things that John added made the tour fantastic.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you for posting such a kind review. Little things always make a difference to me too. It was fun to have your family bunch and the young ones making me feel younger! All the best.

John was a terrific guide. He coped very well when one member of our party could not complete the climb and coaxed the rest of us to the top of Teide. His knowledge of both the geology and history of Tenerife was outstanding. Our communication with John was very good, both before and during the tour. He also took good pictures of us on the summit. Tenerife is a marvelous place to visit. I wish we could have stayed longer and taken more tours with John!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much for your review. It is always a pleasure to spend the day with adventurous travellers! I hope you find your way this way again. The Tajinastes (Echium wildpretii or tower of jewels plant) are in full bloom now and the rather desolate, volcanic landscape you climbed around Mt Teide is alive with colour and life. All the best, John

Outstanding guide. Worked with us to customize an itinerary, executed it brilliantly, and was fun to spend a day with. Very highly recommended.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much for your very kind comment. As you know, you were fun to be with.....even at high altitude. I hope to see you this way again some day, but I'm sure you will head to Pico in the Azores first, and do some other peaks before settling down to more normal things. All the best to you both, John
