Joanne was a wonderful tour guide. I recommend her to anyone. It was very hot and humid when my family had our tour(4th of july). She went out of her way to find us in the big city. Great communication and she eased my mind. I was extremely nervous in the big city being a mom of 3 (15, 11,10) Joanne wasn't just a regular tour guide, she became a friend to my family. I will definitely book another tour with Joanne...We loved our experience with her and overly joyed I got a chance to meet such a lovely lady

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Jessica, thank you so much for your review. It was an honor to meet you and your remarkable family. I hope the rest of your vacation was as much fun as it sounded it would be and everybody got home safely! So now that you have that big city experience under your belt, I hope you and your family come back often. Ohio is not that far away and there are tons more things to do. Please feel free to stay in touch.

Our guide was very nice but not prepared at all. A parade in town blocked our route and she had knowledge of this parade prior to our tour, yet we frantically walked over 6 miles trying to get to the Lincoln Memorial. Needless to say, we were worn out and a little disappointed that we did more walking without "seeing" much. Tour had no real structure. Feel like we certainly did not get our money's worth.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I am very sorry you were so disappointed. Please bear in mind that the parade had only been announced 3 days before and the turnout was beyond official expectations. I did not expect the pedestrian barricades and closures we encountered once we crossed over to the Mall and the Lincoln Memorial because those closures had not been made public. However I do think it was a mistake on my part to take us to Ford's Theatre. I thought Jaxson would like it but it really did add to the walking. My apologies.

Joanne was wonderfully informative and very relaxing for my wife and I as we visited many important monuments and significance buildings in the DC area. As Canadians she made us comfortable with our limited knowledge of American history and gave meaning to the iconic sites that fill the TV backgrounds. I would highly recommend Joanne to anyone seeking a comfortable tour in DC.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you so much David. I enjoyed spending the morning with you and your wife and sharing what I love about Washington DC. I wish you all the best in your new home.

Joanne was just a great guide, our whole family including our daughters aged 13 and 16 liked her a lot! She spoke clear and good to understand English, was well informed and also funny. It was a pleasure and the best we could have done, to stroll around with her in Washington as we only had a day. So, the 3h spent with her has given us a great idea of the most important sights plus history of Washington. We can recommend her to everybody!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Mark - it was a pleasure to spend the day with you and your family. I think your girls will grow up to be, as Obama said about his girls, beautiful and smart, but more importantly, thoughtful and passionate. Thank you for coming to Washington.
