Tour: #26315, Atlanta Airport Layover, Atlanta, Georgia, United States
Date: Jun 14/17

This tour was fantastic! Our tour guide Roger picked us up and instantly began telling us about the city he loves! The van was nice and comfortable and the drive around tour was exactly what we needed after 3 days of walking around at the convention center! We only had a few hours so the "layover tour" suited our time perfectly! We saw everything from Atlanta's historic neighborhoods to the Olympic torch! Thankful we took this tour so we felt like we had actually seen Atlanta!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I'm glad to know that you enjoyed yourself and I certainly enjoyed touring with you.

What a wonderful comprehensive and informative tour Roger took us on. It was the most interesting and intimate tour we have ever been on we have been on. We learned and saw so much history about the civil war civil rights and the fate of the indigenous population. He took us downtown and showed us the olympic stadium etc showed us where all the attractions are and gave us ideas of where to eat. We saw so much more of Atlanta than if we'd taken a standard bus tour I'm so gkad we found 'tours by locals'

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hello Ms. Pothecary, I so enjoyed working with you and your group. I hope that you enjoyed the rest of your time in the city. Thank you for your kind words and support. Roger P.

We did a "regular" 3 hour tour. The airport pricing and duration was what we were interested in. Roger picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off at a restaurant of our choice. Roger knew all the back ways to get around a rush hour traffic. He is very knowledgeable in black history of Atlanta. Coming from Europe, this was very interesting. With that said, we were not interested to discuss certain political aspects of US culture even though we largely agree with Roger views; not the purpose of tour.
