Roger was excellent. He had a wealth of knowledge about Atlanta and the Civil Rights movement history. Given the limited time I (we) had in Atlanta, this was an excellent way to see the key sites. He was very accommodating and friendly. I would take another tour with him anytime. It was great. Thanks Roger!

Mr. Pennyman was fantastic. He is well versed on the city's history and how is has developed over time. He showed me many places and explained their importance. Of course the highlight was seeing First Ebenezer Baptist Church, the home where Dr. King was born, the King Center, the World Peace Garden where children from all over the world had written how MLK influenced them.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you Mr. Chen, I really enjoyed touring with you and it was my pleasure to tour with a real lover of history.

I contacted Roger with a special tour request.I was in need of a tour guide for my high school trip.Roger accepted the challenge and went above and beyond. In a very short amount of time,he was able to collect historical information appropriate for your field trip, devoted three hours of his own time on a Saturday to review the bus route. Roger was well versed and able to weave World,American, and African history into one.Kept students attention over 3 hrs. His debt of historical knowledge is superior!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you Ms. Morris for challenging me and stretching my historical experience. I learned so much from you and I applaud your determined spirit to provide this historical experience for your students. I'm glad to have had this memorable tour with South Gwinnett High School students. I really enjoyed it. Thank you, Roger P.

The tour was excellent and informative our guide was great and full of knowledge, my husband and I are considering going on another tour hopefully with a booking with Mr. Roger P. He answered all our questions this gentleman knows his history and he knows Atlanta's history, we found the tour to be very interesting and would recommend it to others visiting Atlanta. Please ask about other tours available also, our tour guide informed us of other tours available like the Civil rights tour in Savannah.

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you Ms. Green for your wonderful comments about the Atlanta City Tour. I really enjoyed you and your husband. Your positive reaction to the tour is what drives me. There's so much to share in such a short time and its very easy for me to get carried away. It's always my goal to have you get a better understanding of Atlanta's history and culture. Thank you for the opportunity and I look forward to touring with you in the future. Roger P.

If there were a rating higher than 5, we surely would give it. Roger has combined his love and deep knowledge of history (his major in college!), his own life experiences and his natural storytelling abilities to create a living, breathing account of Atlanta (from the distant past to yesterday) that kept us captivated the entire tour. This included my grandchildren - ages 6 and 8 - who continue to rave about "Mr. P" and the spot he showed them over which Hank Aaron hit his 715th home run! Thanks Mr. P.!

TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you for your very kind words. I loved touring with you too !!!!

This was our first private tour and everything about it was faultless! We were picked up at our hotel by a late model comfortable minivan. Roger, our guide for the Atlanta's Civil Rights Tour was outstanding. His vast first hand knowledge of the history, culture and neighborhoods of Atlanta enhanced the trip immensely. The bonus elements of time, added attractions and fun filled history lessons made our day an exceptional value. We highly recommend Roger and Tours By Locals! Pitts Girlz 2012 USA
