my family enjoyed an evening tour with Christine and her husband, who complimented each other's style nicely. We started with a tasty local dinner, which allowed up to learn some fundamentals about Taipei prior to our other events and affairs. My only recommendation would be to choose a quiet restaurant, as it was difficult to hear the many good things they could share. Beyond that, they worked hard to tailor the tour to our very particular interests, and followed up that eve with excellent links/info.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thanks Lisa ! My husband Jan has such great memories of Oregon where he lived. For Taiwanese, dinner is a time to meet & talk, and with so many people enjoying their Friday night dinner time out on the town it does get more noisy at DinTaiFung - one of our most popular places to enjoy great local food. Glad we could give you the maps and links for the next days to enjoy Taipei on your own.

Great short an interesting tour around Taipei 101 area, night markets and learn more about local culture. Weather was great and even that tour was late in the day, it was very easy and pleasant to do.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: New places to explore on our visit to old Taipei's back alleys and markets. We enjoyed a chat in the 1925 home of a Japanese photographer, met some interesting people - it turns out to be a small world after all.

Thank you for a wonderful sunset tour of Taipei. Christine & her husband Jan were both charming & knowledgable. Filled in many historical gaps in my knowledge while seeing some of Taipei's best sights. Highly recommended!
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: We enjoyed comparing our shared regional experiences, and many common but often different values between Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong and China ! Brought back memories of Hong Kong for us, hope you have a chance to visit again.

Christine and her husband, Jan, were excellent "guides" on our first night in Taipei. It felt like being brought out by friends to explore the parts of the city that my husband and I were into. We loved the food recommendations and the interesting trivia and practical tips on Taipei that we picked up from them (like proper queuing on the mrt). Also loved the "care package" and the personalized map of things to do that they gave us. Will definitely get in touch with them again on our next trip there.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: We had a great evening with you as new friends - and forgot about the time, made it back home on the last train. Visit other parts of Taiwan again, it will touch your heart.
