I can't praise Richard highly enough for our two-day tour of D-Day battle sites, enriching his explanations with stories providing insights into the experiences of the people caught in the conflict that aren't in guide books. With the places we wanted to see, he included places that we initially weren't interested in or knew nothing about, such as the German Cemetery or Pegasus Bridge, giving us a broad picture of what happened and the consequences. A great way to tour to D-Day beaches.

If we could give a 50 star rating, it still wouldn't be enough to describe Richard! We had a 2 day Normandy tour, and from the moment we stepped into Richard's van, we knew we were truly in the hands of a consummate professional. He was a walking "Google", but far more interesting. He pretty much ruined it for all the other tour guides that we had on our 14 day trip in Europe, because he set the bar so very high. We loved, Loved , Loved him!

Exceptional guide. Very, very knowledgeable and prepared from the moment you get in his van to give you non stop commentary. Very personable-but not overly familiar.

Richard is very knowledgeable and has excellent English. He was well versed in how the history of the region and the D-Day operation unfolded. We used his vehicle and he drove and guided. We were planning a future tour and he was able to get us into sites and museums for inspection which was great. He is well known to the sites and museum staff. Thank you Richard for an excellent tour and for your assistance.

We highly recommend Richard as tour guide for anyone wishing to get to know the Normandy area. With limited time and multiple areas of interest for sites to see, Richard did a phenomenal job of mapping out time and sites so that we saw more than we expected. Driving with him was a pleasure...he explained historical events as would a storyteller; even tucked in a few sites we would never have considered. Staying in the countryside with no car-no problem- he was there each morning...no worries, no stress!
