We spent a great day with Asako, travelling to Arita and visiting the Kyushu Ceramic Museum, the township and the wholesale ceramics market. We also had lunch at an interesting cafe near the museum, where you get to choose your own cup and saucer to use for any hot drink you order - great to browse the range and choose the one that appeals best. Asako knows her way around Arita, and was able to find out which places were open given we went during the new year holiday period. We recommend Asako - A1.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi Dean, Thank you for rating me so high. I'm glad to hear that you've returned to Australia safely. Enjoy Yame green tea(Gyokuro/Jade dew). We spent a warm New year holidays, didn't we? But here in Fukuoka we were like in a freezer. Very cold! Please send hot air from Australia!

Asako proved to be kind, understanding, and helpful during the tour. When we arrived in Arita, it was raining. So, we asked to limit some parts of the tour so that we could do some shopping for pottery instead of tromping around in the rain. She brought us some croissants because she thought we might be hungry from a long 3 hour train ride to get to the tour start point.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi Jane, I'm glad to hear that you've returned home safely. I loved the women tour fully focusing on shopping. Let's do it again!
